House Republicans launched a fresh attack on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) this week, blasting Administrator Lisa Jackson for setting aside millions of dollars in grants to foreign countries aimed at reducing global pollution.
Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee released a report Monday night detailing what they say is nearly $100 million in foreign handouts to countries like China, Thailand and Indonesia to support various environmental programs over the last decade.
....But EPA defended its grant program Monday, arguing that the agency must work to reduce pollution around the world.
Pollution doesn't stop at international borders, and neither can our environmental and health protections; the local and national environmental issues of the past are now global challenges, the agency said in a statement.

Cool - let’s borrow money from China so we can give it back to them as a gift. Makes sense if you are a liberal.

Cut their funding by the exact amount they gave to foreign nations.

Let me see if I can get this straight.
We regulate companies into leaving America and when they pollute overseas, we give them money for cleanup?

How about cutting their funding to the point that they cease to exist?

Pollution doesn't stop at international borders, and neither can our environmental and health protections; the local and national environmental issues of the past are now global challenges, the agency said in a statement. But their pollution is THEIR responsibility, not ours. If they don't want us to be the world's cops in a military sense, then we shouldn't be the world's environmental cops, either.

You could have named EVERY federal agency in that space - not just the EPA. They all need to go - except Defense!

I can't figure out why the de funding cannot begin.
There is no budget...therefore, when the EPA runs out of money, they must request funding, do they not? When this happens, there are enough Conservatives in the House who can stop it there.
It would be fun to watch the EPA get funded at about 1/4 of what they asked for.
I bet all them bureaucrats there would agree to have their pay cut 3/4 cause they all love their jobs so much. heh heh

Its amazing all the bullcrap foreign aid programs we have going on. Like when we fund Brazil’s offshore drilling but won’t allow drilling off our shores. Or when we back a billion in debt from the new Egyptian government which is clearly more anti-US and anti-Israel than the old one.

Another reason to close the doors at EPA.

The House got its lip service in for the day. Now, off to HAPPY HOUR!!! Where are those boys from K street?
Gutless House; if there were anything serious about them, the EPA would have been writing this statement (as its LAST) on napkins.
To: libertarian neocon
They want to redistribute Our wealth globally. Soros wanted to knock America off her pedestal.
