Sarah Palin rips Newt, seriously considering 2012 run

Sarah Palin came out swinging tonight, saying that Newt should stand behind his words and not apologize no matter what the media says about it. She even noted that he wouldn’t have apologized if the media hadn’t gotten in a huff about what he said.

Also, she indicated that she is still seriously considering a run in 2012, but she is still looking at the field. What I liked about her comments was that she noted that her running for President would be about fighting the left and fighting for the country, not being in the limelight for the punditry class.

A leader would get ahead of the field

When you're Secretariat you can wait a while. Or do you think Reagan was not a leader for waiting until November of 1979 to declare his candidacy?

It would be stupid for Sarah Palin to dart out there now. It’s going to take a HUGE war chest to combat the Obamajad machine. And Obamajad knows this, that’s why he came out swinging early, to lure republicans out early and they’ll start eating up their campaign funds way before the whistle blows to start the game. And why would she give the idiots in the lame stream media cause to start beating up on her now? She has them so desperately scared right now, that their panties are being eaten up into their behinds! The longer she holds out, there’s not a damned thing they can do.

Sarah Palin is a brilliant strategist. Why would she come out this early and start expending campaign money, when people are willing to pay her for speaking engagements and she can speak every day and get her word out while making money. She’s already a household name and certainly doesn’t need name recognition.

NO, it’s not her support of McCain...that was another piece of brilliant strategy. She now owes McCain NOTHING and has him backed into a corner...as well as Godess Graham. And I’d be willing to bet she got some campaign money pledged out of both of them.

You nay sayers need to keep your shorts on and let this wise woman get her own GAME ON! You need to remember that she damn near vanquished Obamajad in 2008 before dumbarse McCain ran back to support the TARP bill. And she damn near vanquished Obamajad’s health care reform with two words, ‘death panels’.

Well, what's stopping her from being the solid conservative candidate?

Ridiculous premise.

Is it the stupid endorsement/campaigning for McCain against Hayworth?

Total water under the bridge. Yesterday's garbage.

She's not running.

She has volunteers already on the ground for her, and she continues to receive high-level briefings.

A leader would get ahead of the field, instead of waiting out the game to see what crumbs are left to chew on.

What the Hell do you think she's been doing for the last 2 years? She has been out front attacking Obama and has given numerous interviews and in-depth policy speeches, while the other candidates stuck their fingers in the winds and watched their poll numbers.

Sheesh

Also another thing is that Sarah is very competitive and has openly said she could beat Obama in a race.

The interview pertained to running, but smart people knew what she was talking about. The moment Sarah mocked Obama about the styrofoam columns in her acceptance speech completely knocked the wind out of Obama and the Left...

Sarah is the only Republican candidate who can beat Obama. She will not play games or try to be Obama's friends or joke with him. She and her family was character assassinated for the last 2.5 and almost driven to personal ruin and bankruptcy. She's running, $100 donation to FR against anyone who doubts me.

I liked when Sarah was pressed to say something nice about the also rands like MB etc,she did not say, heck ya there are some great people in the race, she never said that, so I was encouraged by that.

She did not give her normal standards answers, she is seriously considering...I am encouraged

“Yea but Reagan was second in ‘76 so he was next in line.”

You are only “next in line” if the party establishment supports you., The party establishment did everything in its power to ruin Reagan's chances. They preferred Ford, Bush41 and Howard Baker.

"A leader would get ahead of the field, instead of waiting out the game to see what crumbs are left to chew on."

Really, genius? Well this leader (Sarah Palin) knows a little more about winning elections than you do. Your preposterous mischaracterizations of everything you reference in your snivelling PDS blatt prove only that your opinions are driven your lack of knowledge about Sarah's well-established history of multiple unconventional, winning election strategies.

I'll bet eight bucks you eat your boogers. Tell the truth now...

From the looks I get with my Palin bumper sticker, I’m starting to notice more glances which seem contemplative, rather than dismissive. Even women.

Even deep in Blue SoCal.

I hope Palin runs, and sure wouldn’t mind if she announced soon. She could change the way we do things.

An aside, was thinking today about the Latino voting block. I think there is probably a portion of Latino guys who would vote for Palin for the same reason they might listen to Shakira. (to continue that analogy, Shakira is immensely talented, not just attractive)

And a possibly even larger portion of Latinas, who just might vote for Palin because of her faith, and family.

Palin could take the Latino bloc as it were, away from Obama. IMO.

She could seriously win in a landslide.

Even California, IMHO.

Apparently, you’ve not been paying attention.

Either that, or you choose not to see.

If Palin were to support the recovery plan I wrote about recently:

A seven-point economic recovery plan

She would win in a gigantic landslide of which we haven't seen since 1980.

Getting her to go against Mccain is asking for too much imho. It be equivalant of backstabbing. I give her a pass on Mccain, but not on anyone else

She gets a pass on McCain but Daniels doesn't get one on Lugar who launched his career?

The problem for me is that his suck-up to Lugar is either a lie or foolhardy, or both. Lugar is a legend only in his own mind. Nice guy, but timid and self-important. Gravy without salt.

Okay.

Now what about Daniel's early endorsement of McCain during the last presidential cycle?

who’s lugar? Since I don’t know who he is, its equivalent of giving Daniel a pass as I don’t decide whether he’s my pick based on what he say about lugar
