Never could stand the irksome little furball, but he's got a self-deprecating sense of humor... no hangups about dignity or anything like that with this character, lol.

Very kind. One of my former co-workers was a big fan of his. While she was going through a family trauma, I sent a letter to him about it, and he called her and talked for about an hour. Funny thing is, when she was done, she said, “I can’t believe you wrote to him!” She wasn’t surprised he called - but that I had taken the time to write! :-)

I like Richard Simmons. He’s helped an untold number of people lose weight and feel better about themselves. There are stories galore of people who have written to him and received phone calls from him.

He is who he is, but he doesn’t jump on any homosexual bandwagons - his personal life remains private. Those who have met him personally will probably remember his kindness over his effeminate nature.
