Being pH balanced, alkalinity versus acidity, living an alkaline diet lifestyle is nothing new. During the early 1930s, Swedish chemist, nutritionist and Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Ragnar Berg intensely studied the relationship between the acid-alkaline ratio in the diet and effects on health. According to Dr. Berg, the body needs to maintain a slightly alkaline level of 7.35 7.45 pH for fighting diseases and maintaining optimal health.
So why arent we all living the health alkaline lifestyle today? The answer probably is convenience. Our high stress fast paced way of living demands fast foods on-the-go to go along with it. Because we have to make a lot of money now to pay our bills we dont take the time to eat healthy. We sacrifice our health for convenience.
A wise doctor once said, Disease is complicated, health is not.
Treating disease can be very costly accompanied by horrible side effects of the medications. Preventing disease is much more affordable and has no side effects. Becoming healthy by eating healthy is much easier to achieve, its something we all can do if we choose to. Dr. Ragnar Bergs Health Alkaline Lifestyle
Dr. Ragnar Berg suggests that people should be consuming give or take 80 percent of alkaline forming foods and 20 percent of acid forming foods each meal. Why is this delicate alkaline balance so important? Dr. Bergs research proved that disease cannot live in an alkaline environment. He was the first scientist to discover the importance of the acid-base balance.

Eat apricots, and all will be well.
Recently I began using alkaline water to see if it impacts my health. However, since I don’t personally have the machine to connect to the tap (some cost up to $4 grand) my use is inconsistent. But once I am working again, it’s on the top of my list.

Not much info in article, read The Acid Alkaline Food Guide by Brown and Trivieri for the whole deal. works great for me on controling gout.
Refined sugar is very, very alkaline.
Eat a tablespoon and it paralyzes your stomach for a few moments.
Then your stomach starts producing acid like mad.
Ulcers, anyone?
Removing heavily refined and foods high in alkalinity reduces the production of acid by your stomach. That is why people who switch to the Atkins diet find they’ve eliminated acid reflux.
Meat, fish, poultry, eggs, dairy plus I eat vegetables, nuts, and some types of fruit, but never pasta, cookies, pastries or fruit juice. Drinking margaritas gives me a stomach ache; Irish coffee, minus sugar, does not. Small amounts of rice or potato seem to be OK, but that’s it.
No problems with indigestion or constipation. I’ve been doing this for years.
Wouldn’t putting a spoonful of baking soda in a glass of water once or twice a day work just as well?
Goutpal claims that if you eat this kind of diet you will reduce flares in occurrence and severity.
Watch it..you'll get arrested for starting a pharmaceutical company without a license...or they might burn you at the stake for witchcraft. (actually..they sell little bottles of just that and call it "PH Drops"..$10.00 a tiny tiny bottle).
Eat a tablespoon and it paralyzes your stomach for a few moments.
Then your stomach starts producing acid like mad.
LOL, what twisted nonsense. "Paralyzes your stomach" - that's undoubtably a medical term right there. And "produces acid like mad" - well, let's see, it's your stomach, and your stomach, hmmm... produces acid. For anything in it. Why? Because that's what it does to things in it. It CAN'T produce anything else.
Nobel prizes have been won affirming alkaline diets for health, and acid environments for illness. But you exert yourself with pseudoscientific scare mongering to confuse the issue.
Yeah, yeah, you're being paid. But do you ever reflect on your common humanity with your victims? Or is that kind of thinking just for chumps?
Alkaline foods bump
So basically this is a low or no fat, low or no meat, low or no grain diet.
Birdseed for breakfast, yum.
Personally, I’ll just breathe a little faster when I’m in acidosis, and enjoy my steak.
LOL!
“Nobel prizes have been won affirming alkaline diets for health, and acid environments for illness...”
Prove it!

I have had stomach problems since my early 40's; but, when I do the Atkins type of eating, my stomach is in much better shape. I had been using enzyme supplements to help whenever I ate. Now, I'm eating protein and some dairy (cheese) and my stomach is just fine with no acid reflux. And, again, I am losing weight.
Potentially, however in my readings so far, the machines (Evontis, Tyent, Jupiter) not only change the pH of the water to alkaline (and you can set the alkalinity), but also the ionizer can affect the molecular size in some fashion which makes it more easy for your body to hydrate itself and to clean out the pollutants and free radicals. Check out Evontis web site... theirs explain things pretty well.
