I have a copy of my BC in my files....Signed and sealed, i.e., certified.
I am not a document expert, but it is obvious to me that this is two pieces of paper. Why else would you have all that shadow on the left side? And why all the blank bits around it...my birth certificate isn’t that big. The original one or the copy I got from vital statistics.

Saw that at the link also. This document looks authentic. It seems to me that both the Kenyan bc and this doc could be the real thing. Grandma registered Barack in HI four days after he was born in Kenya.

[§338-17.8] Certificates for children born out of State. (a) Upon application of an adult or the legal parents of a minor child, the director of health shall issue a birth certificate for such adult or minor, provided that proof has been submitted to the director of health that the legal parents of such individual while living without the Territory or State of Hawaii had declared the Territory or State of Hawaii as their legal residence for at least one year immediately preceding the birth or adoption of such child.
(b) Proof of legal residency shall be submitted to the director of health in any manner that the director shall deem appropriate. The director of health may also adopt any rules pursuant to chapter 91 that he or she may deem necessary or proper to prevent fraudulent applications for birth certificates and to require any further information or proof of events necessary for completion of a birth certificate.
(c) The fee for each application for registration shall be established by rule adopted pursuant to chapter 91. [L 1982, c 182, §1]
Thanks, hadn’t seen the document before. It is still interesting they are playing games. I thought maybe it was about trying to hide the obvious he is not a NBC, but must be another reason to not just release a copy of the original.

I think they believe they can get around the NBC question in court, but they cannot get around a Kenyan birth.

It’s hard to come by complete and correct information on this statute but I have told by some that this is a new statute that only came into law after 1961. Check here for more info, see paragraph after definition of BC4, which starts with “In 1982...”:

However others claim the statute was already there before 82, and it was only revised in 82 to include “state of Hawaii” instead of just “Territory”, now apparently stating “Territory and State of Hawaii”. Some infer that since it still says Territory, it’s retroactive, even if only originally penned in 1982.

So, has there been any analysis done on Grandmama’s birth certificate? Any layering, background, or font controversies? It certainly appears to be a more straightforward looking document than that released by the Whitehouse.
Has there been any definitive answer on the use of “Negro” versus “African” on Hawaiian birth certificates from this era?

My guess, like the other documents released, there are probably half truths . Putting out abstracts to some original seems like lying by omission. (imo)
Seems like this one was analyzed and dismissed awhile back. Something is fishy about the refusal to disclose a copy of the original document but claim you have.
Madge probably updated certificate with updated 338-17 in 1982. Barry was 21 kenyan years and probably needed it for some purpose.
Looking at the pixelation one can imagine just how unlikely it is that two characters consisting of such a large number of pixels should just happen to have exactly the same arrangement. It can't be explained due to identical fonts, because the characters have the same pixels "sticking out" in several places. As the creator of the video states, the odds of such identical pixel arrangements should be very, very small.
Consider the following argument:
At each location where a black pixel could appear around the boundary of a character such that the pixel appears extraneous to the body of the character, there is either a black pixel or no black pixel.
For the upper case "B" in the video, I would roughly estimate that there are 100 places where an extraneous pixel could appear along the boundary of the letter.
If one looks at two different "B"s, as the creator of the video did, and sees that there is agreement between the two characters such that all 100 pixel locations are identical, then one might estimate that the odds of such agreement might be on the order of 2 to the 100th power. That is a number which is greater than 4 billion cubed.
What is interesting is that I was able to find three other pairs of characters that were similarly identical.
If someone is a facebook member and can provide me with an email address for the video creator, I can provide the information about these character pairs. I don't wish to sign up for facebook myself.
