24 Signs Of Economic Decline In America
Benzinga.com ^ | 4/22/11 | Michael Snyder

The United States is in the middle of a devastating long-term economic decline and it is getting really hard to deny it. Over the past year I have included literally thousands of depressing statistics in my articles about the U.S. economy. I have done this in order to make an overwhelming case that the U.S. economy is in deep decline and is dying a little bit more every single day. Until we understand exactly how bad our problems are we will never be willing to accept the solutions. The truth is that our leaders have absolutely wrecked the greatest economic machine that the world has ever seen. Most Americans just assume that we will always experience overwhelming prosperity, but that is not anywhere close to the truth. We are not guaranteed anything. Our manufacturing base has been gutted, the number of jobs is declining, more Americans are dependent on government handouts than ever before, our dollar is dying and as a nation we are absolutely drowning in debt. The economists that are trumpeting an "economic recovery" and that are declaring that the U.S. economy will soon be "better than ever" are delusional. We really are steamrolling toward a complete and total economic collapse and our leaders are doing nothing to stop it.

The truth is that our leaders have absolutely wrecked the greatest economic machine . . .

No, the truth is that WE have absolutely wrecked the greatest economic machine by consistently wanting something for nothing, by wanting to shield people from the consequences of risk and their own bad decisions, by wanting to let everyone live the good life on the backs of the rich or by borrowing on our good credit. If there was a will to cut entitlements and spending, our leaders would do it. But there is no will, so there is no way.

#23 Some Americans have become so desperate for cash that they are literally popping the gold teeth right out of their mouths and selling them to pawn shops.

Yikes.

Not so much...I first voted in 1976...never in that time have I ever had a chance to vote on whether I wanted to shield people from the consequences of their own bad decisions, or whether I wanted to let everyone live the good life on the backs of the rich or by borowing, or whether I wanted something for nothing. The truth is, these questions are decided well above our 'pay grade'. I have the will to cut entitlements and spending, but the anointed class isn't really listening.

No, the truth is that WE have absolutely wrecked the greatest economic machine by consistently wanting something for nothing...

See my tagline. I refuse to be lumped into your "WE" as I have never asked another soul for something that I could just as easily...or with some sweat on my part...obtained by myself.

Do not include me in your “we” group. I’m a small business owner and I BUST MY ASS to be successful.

If you haven’t already I urge you to start getting prepared now. I truely believe that time is growing short very short.

IMHO we will see within the next six months (Unkle Ike thinks I am being overly optimistic with that six-month timeline and from the look of this post he might be right!) a economic collapse much like that of Argentina’s:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rH6_i8zuffs

For more information on live in a collapse economy I strongly suggest that you read Ferfal’s blog SURVIVING IN ARGENTINA: http://ferfal.blogspot.com

And remember as a armed society and one which contains a much more violent crimial and entitlement minded element our collapse is much more likely to be very violent than Argentina’s was/is. I see places big ‘blue’ cities mostly were what I call “Pocket pogroms” and you better be ready to get out and quick!

For those who would like to get started preparing I have updated my Preparedness Manual and added the following sections:

19. A Highly-Mobility 72 Hour Kit-by Ward Dorrity

55. Step by Step Earthbag Construction-by Dr. Owen Geiger

Thanks to eaker it can be down loaded at:

The leaders of our Nation “have absolutely wrecked the greatest economic machine” by sending the real work overseas to exclude real, tall, strong, American men from working and shaming the leaders in their short effeminacy.

It’s the death of an economy by political correctness.
