As it stands right now I’d vote for her. But there are some things about her that bother me.

If I was her, I’d continue to make millions and tell the dumb ass citizens of this country to drop dead.

Prepare for the onslaught of “ObamaCare Light” crowd demanding a Republican win even if they have to run the likes of a Communist to do so because Sarah is “ineluctable ; )”.

Somebody ought to show that list to Obama, golf balls are on it. Once he sees that.... oh wait, our tax dollars buy his golf balls.

Forget it.

Being that Palin is the type of person who wants everyone to benefit rather than a select few, she would probably create a national energy fund where all taxpayers would receive an annual energy rebate of some sorts.

Is this her position?

Great article but one problem “skittles crapped from unicorns” ARE a viable energy source!!!

Each skitteye (singular technical term) can run a car for a YEAR!! Keeping all the fluid levels at maximum as well, antifreeze, wiper fluid, tires up to max pressure. Its the holy grail of energy production.

Problem is finding the little buggers, unicorns are sneaky!

Excellent, excellent writing. To all I say, “Yeah and Amen!!!”

To what you didn’t say, I say Palin will take the huge amount of federal land they have acquired and sell it off to pay down the huge debt.

Of course, there are other valid reasons why Palin must be the GOP nominee

She respects and adores the late Geraldine Ferraro. There's one.

Obviously, you do not understand how the Oil Industry works.

Your Populist plan to redistribute those Oil Company “profits” (wealth) among the American people would be less than a few dollars per person.

It's a simple fact that the very strongest oil companies, barely net between 5 to 8 percent profit, after they pay all the other Federal taxes, operating costs, environmental regulations, state taxes, drilling fees, etc,. And what little they salvage from all the handouts they are required to currently give, they would simply go broke, quit or go elsewhere.

You also are not very well schooled in Alaska History. Palins additional tax she imposed on Alaska oil companies did more damage to the industry than it helped.

Since 1976, Jay Hammond installed a plan where the Oil Companies would pay most of Alaska State's operating costs, (Called the Permanent Fund Dividend.) which averaged around 75% of the States revenues. It was also agreed that anything left over would be shared with each and every resident. (Which averages $1,000 per person annually) And the residents of the State pay no income taxes resulting from this plan.

Under the Permanent Fund Dividend plan, there was very little profit left to share, but the state benefited by all the people it employed and the economy it supported. Especially by the taxes they did not have to pay.

Palin’s punitive tax, in addition to the huge amount the Oil Industry was already paying, hindered new exploration and greatly slowed down the industry.

This is the reason that the new Governor who replaced her, lifted that tax to allow the Oil Companies to drill for new reserves again. Palin’s pipeline campaign is also considered to have been a waste of time. Even though she made the claim and took credit for building that pipeline, it never made it out of the planning stages and is now dead.

Having lived in Alaska for 12 years and traveling a lot in the state, I have been on the same planes with her, to parties at the same time, I've met her.......I can't say I know her, but she IS the real deal. Most perceptions of negatives of her come from the left’s blind fear of her and the resulting villianization of her.

I wouldn’t use Alaska as an example of an energy “rebate” program possibility. Alaska is a special case because their state Constitution specifies that those types of natural resources belong to the people of the state. No similar provision exists elsewhere.

She'll also, among her very first acts, turn on the spigots to the water for California's Central Valley farming industry, which the tree-huggers and "kill-the-American-economy" socialist moonbats shut off to save some minnows off the coast.

As Palin has said on more than one occasion, "Where I come from, we call that 'bait'."

She will turn this stinking, sinking craphole into a rising juggernaut in 6 months. Just wait, watch, and be amazed.

Well, she could push through another windfall profits tax on big oil then give a check to everyone in the country. You know, just like she did in Alaska. Also, just like dear leader wanted to do in DC.

Let's not think about BP saying that her tax caused them to decrease investment in Alaska....it hurts our head.

My goodness! Is EEE actually suggesting that she would confiscate and then re-distribute corporate revenues?

We know she did it Alaska...do you think she'd try it in DC? It looks like you do.

The time has come to question the conventional wisdom which asks the question: “Is a candidate electable?”.

The truth is my dog could beat 0bama.

The question becomes: “Who has the guts to turn around this socialist Rat/Soros agenda?”

On that score Palin looks to be a top contender.

By working with the oil companies, Palin will cut coastal residents and states in on the royalties, which neutralizes the NIMBY Luddites.

Who owns the coastal resource rights?

Why Governor Palin must be the GOP Nominee

Because I don't want to change my bumper stickers:
"I'll punch Sarah's tab, ANYTIME!"
