Sean is on my side, bless his heart. But I just can't stand listening to him. Judging from his ratings, there are lots of people in this country who would disagree with me, and that's okay.
But in my mind, he's very shallow in his analysis of the day's events.
I need more than what he provides.
I'm a fan of Glenn Beck.
I know that there are lots of my fellow Freepers who dislike Glenn, and the programming that he presents, for whatever reason.
That's okay, too.
My purpose in making this post is to ask you for alternatives.
If you don't listen to Hannity, is there someone else you prefer?
If you can't stand Beck, who do you listen to?
What other hosts do you think might be worthy of our attention?
Hannity’s a great guy, but yeah....the depth just isn’t there on his show(s). Still, his heart is in the right place.
That said, he doesn’t hold a candle to Beck. The others comment on the news; Beck MAKES news. I’m not the first to use that line, but it’s damned accurate.
Im with you. Sean talks about himself to much for me. I love Rush and Levin.
Why would someone not like Beck?
I don’t worry about any of it. I listen to what I listen to and let others do the same.
Just carry on like nothing’s wrong, it’ll work out.
Hannity is kind of like a broken record. He keeps repeating the same lines over and over again.
I like listening to John Gibson & Brian Kilmeade...
Beck provides invaluable information.
Hannity just goes on and on with the same old rant.
Doubtful the left cares a whit about Hannity these days.
They’re doing all in their power to destroy Beck.
I do enjoy Beck most of the time, but he can wear thin at times too. I believe that a little bit of info from all sources is not a bad thing.
Might add that I am referring to only TV shows, I do not listen to radio unless it is classic rock.
I quit watching & listening to Hannity when he had Karl Rove & John McCain on his show & he was drooling over what they had to say. It was like he had a sick man crush on them!!
Hannity has surprisingly been all over the birth certificate the last couple of days.
Trump has allowed mainstream conservatives to bring this issue to the forefront without being called a kook.
He repeats himself so many times I get sick of hearing it!
And whatever he is talking about eventually turns to himself.
Beck is the best by far, at least for now. New information, new insights, grounded in our Constitution and Founding Fathers and documents.
But, still thankful that the other conservative commentators are doing a great job.
A lot of people don’t like Beck because the just do not want to hear it - the un-varnished, un-buffered, un-sweetened truth.
Sean I listen to 50% of the time, but today I turned him off at the top of the second hour (a Muslim apologist vs. a NR writer) and at the top of the third hour (John McCain). I turned him back on after 30 minutes.
Mark Levin is the greatest and his podcasts are free. His show follows Sean, but download the previous days show and skip Sean.
Or drink heavily.
Your choice.
Beck, on the other hand is a truth harbinger. Perhaps sometimes too foreboding, but take all his prognostication with a grain of salt. What I do disagree with Glenn on, vehemently in fact, is his absolute assertion is peaceful dissent at all costs.
He cites scripture, etc. and cautions strongly against violence yada yade, telling us truth will triumph, etc.
My personal belief is that God does not condemn violence for the right reasons on a blanket basis. This country was secured and established by REVOLT - violence in execution. It will take same to take it back from the evil that has finally possessed it.
Agreed. Hannity just repeats the headlines and talking points. Why can’t we have a conservative news-show that will deal with 2-3 issues only, in-depth for a full hour, without all the talking heads chattering over each other. I suppose that commercially, it just wouldn’t be acceptable to any network.
Having said that though, Sean is way better than Ted Baxter, who makes the show ALL about him.
A nice change of pace is Quinn & Rose. Rose has subbed for Hannity a few times. Jim Quinn does his homework, and always manages to inform me of something I didn’t know. Get the podcasts or just listen on demand at www.wpgb.com.
Whattya mean, "like"?
