Kathy Griffin has never been one to shy away from controversy, especially controversy that involves Sarah Palin, even going as far as making weight jokes about Palin’s daughter, Bristol. It was also recently announced that Griffin would be playing a “a middle-aged ‘recent Tea Party candidate and home-schooler — a Sarah Palin type” on the hit show “Glee.”
One can imagine that all this might be wearing on Palin and in an interview with Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro, Palin let lose saying:
“You know Kathy Griffin can do anything to me or say about me, because you know, she’s kind of this – she’s a fifty year old adult – boy really is what she is. She’s kind of a has-been comedian and she can do those things to me. I would just ask for respect of my children. As she had stated on CNN that her new year’s resolution was to destroy my 16 year old daughter – that takes it a little too far. Kathy pick on me, come up to Alaska and pick on me, but leave my kids alone.”

Griffin has found a niche with the gay community - Glee caters to that community - so it is only natural that she play a character on the show. I don’t watch the show and I don’t pay attention to Griffin as she is disgusting, vile and has no talent. Perhaps one day the gay community will realize she has used them to make a nice living for herself. Pretty sad that in order to make her living she has to target teenagers.

Interesting. If Sarah had called her a "boy", it really would have been an nonconstructive insult. The term "bully" describes perfectly what one is who picks on a 16 year-old kid.
Perhaps, the misrepresentation of what Palin said, which seems to be happening almost daily, was purposeful.
Like it or not, Bristol is a public figure and profits from it. Palin needs to rise above it.

If Palin wants to be a candidate, she needs to realize that far worse than this will be coming her way. If she has problems with something on this level, this early in the game, she will lose in the end.
Like her quitting as Governor, (The first time an Alaska Governor has ever quit the ofice.) this legitimate question will be hammered at her over and over again, and her lame excuse will be broadcast, criticized and analyzed to new heights.
I will guarantee that this won't be another “Obama’s Ears” moment for her either. They (The MSM) will only hit a higher gear and stomp the pedal to the floor.

I disagree. Griffin stated she wanted to destroy Palin's 16 y/o daughter. Palin is right to call her out for that. What sort of mother or father would stand silent while their child is attacked by bitter a leftist?
thats your opinion but not everyone share your view in what it means to be mature. I’ve always thought Bush’s style was cowardly and stupid. She only opened her mouth a few seconds to deal with an immature attack on her/daughter. Immaturity would be engaging in a fist fight. Verbal response are totally fine.
If you see someone you love bet bullied, is your response is to, no comment? You may think thats mature, but the one you loved will think you don’t love them enough to defend them
In Bush's case, had he given the attacks on his daughters recognition by showing an emotional reaction like Palin did, it would have achieved the desired effect that the attacks hoped to achieve in the first place.
Buy not reacting or giving the attacks validity Bush won the controversy before they even started. And the American Public gave him greater respect for his steady temperament.
That is what makes one Presidential. Able to resist emotional influence in one’s way of conducting one’s responsibility.

She is more popular now than ever. I can’t stand her myself but don’t underestimate her popularity. She has as much money as Palin if not more.

I thought it was Willow Palin who is 16 not Bristol who is taking care of herself now at 20. I thought she threatened Willow and the next one will be the 10year old Piper since Trig the baby is already fair game.
