The Spotted Owl Hoax
examiner ^ | 2/9/11 | bray

Why? Because I do not LOVE you? God knows I do. 2 Cor 11:11

We have been lied to about the Spotted Owl for the past 40 yrs and now the scientists are admitting it: http://www.oregonlive.com/environment/index.ssf/2011/02/make_this_call_in_the_wild_sho.html. As many have been saying for years the wildlife scientists were cooking the books just like Global Warming and every other scare tactic when in reality the Owls were being eaten by other Owls. There was never a danger due to the harvest of old growth forests which put the lumber industry on their death bed; it was just a turf battle being fought between two competing predators. It is time to see how many more of these frauds are being foisted on Americans to promote the anti-capitalist academic agenda?

When are we going to find out if the minnow in the Sacramento River is being eaten by another fish rather than blaming the farmers in the Central Valley for their demise? Let’s turn the water back on

Not that I read, or watch, the MSM that much anymore but, in the rare event that I do, I always start with the supposition that I’m being lied to.

I don’t understand why the companies that buy advertising in these various organs are willing to associate with established liars.

I never understood why a bird could only live in a tree that existed before 1492, but not one that was planted in 1680, 1850, or 1980.

Wait...I'm sure they will send 1000 enviro behavorial scientists to solve this NEW (wink, wink) behavior dilemma. Maybe downers in their feed station.

Now tell me again what caused the demise of the dinosaurs??

To the looney left, if a beaver builds a dam, that’s nature. If a human builds a dam, that’s a crime against nature. If a human builds a dam for a beaver, that’s scientific management.

There was never a danger due to the harvest of old growth forests which put the lumber industry on their death bed; it was just a turf battle being fought between two competing predators.

I didn't see them mention the names of the two agencies involved.

The Oregonian had an article a few days ago about how the federal government is going to fix the problem of the spotted owl.....LMAO. The spotted owls [really, the eco fecal freaks] have killed the forestry industry in Oregon. It was all a LIE. But don't you worry, the federal gubbermint will solve this make believe problem if it takes a trillion dollars. Their plan, get this, is to shoot the barred owls aka Hoot owls with shotguns because they are encroaching on the poor spotted owls 'habitat'. We have to do away with all these federal alphabet agencies. Drug testing would only skim off 20 percent, the rest are clinically insane.

Make this call in the wild: Should Oregon shoot barred owls to save spotted owls? [Link to OregonLive.com]

"Come summer, federal wildlife officials expect to finish a draft environmental impact statement that most likely recommends taking to the woods with shotguns. Over the next year, in three or more study areas from Washington to northern California, they might kill 1,200 to 1,500 barred owls -- the larger, more aggressive competitor that has routed spotted owls from much of their territory and become, along with habitat loss, the biggest threat to their survival."

After reading the article you have to assume that everyone in the audience knows about some studies or expose’s that prove the books were cooked.

I suppose it was front page news in Oregon.

I’d like to have had a link so I could read about it.

I remember when they were found living in K-Mart signs. Seems they were a bit more cushier than them old trees.

The stronger and more powerful Barred Owl has been mating with the weak left wing Spotted since the 1970’s.

Any decrease in the Left Wing Spotted Owl population is probably due to the more assertive/aggressive Barred Owl having sex with its weaker left wing Spotted Owl Females. This has been documented but ignored since the 1970’s:

http://www.owlpages.com/news.php?article=65

Hybrid owl complicates future of spotted owl

“Barred owls began moving west from forests in eastern Canada and Minnesota in the early 1900s. After reaching southwestern British Columbia, they moved south, appearing in spotted owl territory in Washington in 1973 and Oregon in 1978, according to a paper by Forsman and Oregon State University graduate student Elizabeth Kelly. They now reach into Northern California.”

My bet is that many spotted owls have been killed by wind turbines.

What about these clowns clubbing all the so called "frankenfish" because they were not native fish even though they are genetically the same.

They really are a violent bunch of eco fecal freaks.

A picture of a barred owl[hoot owl] on the left and a spotted owl on the right. Similar sized birds. They live together in a pen at The Wildlife Center in Astoria
