She'd be a fool to comment in depth on that before it has shaken its way through the chain of the military. To do otherwise is a genuine lose/lose/lose proposition. I think that I would lose considerable respect for her if she jumps the gun on that one. (As for your other question, she's been running full throttle for two years)
I say this not with respect to Palin, but with all politicians.
I’m sick and tired of everything turning into an election campaign. Voters deserve to know what candidates believe and don’t believe, not be told that they shouldn’t be asking questions. Whether I agree or disagree with Chris Christie, he seems to be outspoken and forthright about issues. That is refreshing.
To say that it is foolish for someone to comment on an issue until the outcome is known sounds pretty pathetic to me. Either one thinks DADT repeal is a good idea, or they don’t. One can favor one vs. the other and express their concerns about whatever side. That would show leadership, not just populism or thumb-in-the-wind policy making.

You know, I find it disturbing, this insistence some FReepers have that anyone who doesn't support their favourite one isn't a conservative. Exactly who are YOU to determine what the qualifications for a conservative are? Get real.
Your insistence that everyone fall in line with your views or they're obviously not a conservative is just like our Dear Leader who believes anyone who doesn't agree with him is an enemy. Get off your high horse and come to grip with the fact that you aren't The One to determine who any conservative should support. And, you never will be.
The more I read you and your ilk's ridiculous posts proclaiming how anyone who doesn't support Gov. Palin is a RINO/not a conservative/troll/whatever have done more to damage any potential candidacy than the media ever could. I've come to firmly believe that that is indeed your purpose: to be so annoying that even if Gov. Palin were to decide to run, so many real conservatives would be so sick of having her being rammed down their throats that she'd have even more of an uphill battle.
Congratulations, you've found a way to push your favored one to a place where you've alienated Real Conservatives (i.e. ones who couldn't imagine voting for Jimmeh). I look forward to reading the next installment of ridiculousness from the If You Don't Back Palin, You're Not A Conservative Camp. *gag*

Silence on such an important issue usually means one of two things, both bad. Staying quiet on DADT repeal until it makes it's way through the military system (assuming she secretly disagrees with it as you are) makes as much sense as staying quiet on Obama-care until it makes it's way through the health care system. The only difference is DADT repeal is popular, Obama-care is not and that may be the key.
In any-case, the poster of this thread is making the claim that Sarah Palin is a big threat to the homosexual lifestyle, but this issue (silence on) shows she is not that big of a threat.
This loon (factmart) wasn't worth the 10 minutes to go into that level of detail. The guy had the b___'s to basically tell me if I supported DeMint over Palin, that I was not a conservative.
