March 20, 2006: This was the last stand-alone debt limit vote on which then-Senator Obama voted. He was one of 48 members to vote against the increase, which passed with 52 votes.
He said:
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”
Ok.
One of Obama's stooges - Goolsby - said this weekend:
This is not a game. You know, the debt ceiling ... is not something to toy with," Goolsbee told the ABC News program "This Week." "If we hit the debt ceiling, that's ... essentially defaulting on our obligations, which is totally unprecedented in American history."
The record is clear.
By our President's own hand since his policies are the reason that the ceiling must be raised (or we will default on our obligations) he has declared, by his own words, that he intends to resign the office of President of The United States.
Again, in President Obama's own words:
America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. Yes it does, yes it does, and yes we do.

Obama is one lie after another.
What does he believe about the debt limit and when did he believe it?
