The argument that the Democrats made against Reagan’s Anti-missile Defense initiative was that the Russians could overwhelm the system by launching a very large number of ICBM’s. Since the end of the Cold War, the Russians have been more interested in selling oil and women than they are obliterating the Western World.
The main danger now comes from rogue third world countries like Iran or North Korea, and free lance Muslim terrorist groups, who are not capable of a missile strike of large magnitude. Abandoning anti- ICBM development makes no sense in this environment.
Team Obama has a talent for initiatives that create debilitating problems where none previously existed.
If a liberal told me what century that it was I would look at a calendar first. The idiot RINOs who voted to ratify this treaty without reading it (and I can guarantee that not one of them did) ought to be take out and tarred and feathered. The traitorous Rats ought to be shot.

Sad part is, we’re still stuck with 10 of those traitorous bastards. I don’t think it’s a far leap to get the necessary 2/3 to scrap missile defense. After all... it’s World Peace on the line.

I believe the reason Alexander & Coker voted for it was cashola for Oak Ridge Lab. Like the rest of the RINO’s they figured they could slide this through and everyone will forget about it after Christmas. I lay this on McConnell. He just flapped his jaw and did not fight to delay this bill. Milquetoast Mike dumped START and DADT off onto Kyl and kept the winning hands on the Omnibus & the tax bill for himself to claim “victory”.

I despise posts like this. One could just as easily say that the Constitution died with the convocation of the UN, the bankruptcy of 1933, the adoption of Admiralty Law, the institution of the Federal Reserve, or the ratification of the 14th Amendment. I have written that its demise was set up by the same international banking interests that drove the rest of it before the Constitution was ratified.

The cause of freedom didn't die with any of these crooked machinations. We still possess the means to enforce the rule of law in support of unalienable individual rights. The real question is: Are we preparing to invoke those means of enforcement? After all, by every standard in the Declaration of Independence, our government is becoming increasingly illegitimate.
G_d laid out the basic principles for liberty 3,500 years ago, yet virtually NO ONE has paid any attention to them either. So the real questions come down to individual preparation, functional relationships, and associative logistics. In 1776, we had identifiable leaders. Do we now?
