People normally respond to “gaze cues,” or the direction that another person is looking, by glancing to see what caught that person’s attention. The new study, to be published in a forthcoming issue of the journal Attention, Perception & Psychophysics, finds that liberals respond much more strongly to such cues than conservatives.

IOW, "Oh look! Something shiny."

“Liberals, on the other hand, are proving to be more responsive to positive/appetitive stimuli, more responsive to happy faces, and more sensitive to gazes.”

Sounds remarkably similar to a dog. Just sayin’...

Private sector work, combined with an intelligent perusal of the tax bite on one’s paycheck stub, is usually enough.

Is there a cure for liberalism? Yes. It’s called the Holy Spirit. Pray for these fools, the God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, removes their closed logic.

Is there a “cure” for liberalism?”

By “liberalism,” I presume you actually mean “Progressive Socialism,” which in truth is Atheistic Communism.

Having that understanding, then...

Yes, there is a cure ... 7.62 x 39 hollow points ... Used “liberally” in rapid succession!

A few months of starving should do the trick.

And I don't mean being famished before a trip to Mickey D's.

Question: "Is There a Cure for Liberalism?"

Response: Yes. Strip them naked, tie them to a slow cart pulled by bullocks, and whip them down Main Street.

I knew a liberal who was very anti-second amendment. She thought that even the police needed to be armed only when on duty. Then she came home to a burglary in progress. Fortunately, she was able to literally run screaming down her driveway until a neighbor saw her and called police. You can probably guess the rest of the story: yep, bought a gun. Some people are anti-death penalty till a family member is tortured and murdered and then change their minds. Some are pro-illegal immigration until one tries to rape their daughter or a family member is killed by an illegal DWI. Life experiences can change one’s perceptions very radically IMHO>

I’m about 700 pages into Alas Shrugged right now. What I can’t understand is why I wasn’t REQUIRED to read it in high school or college.

Why aren’t colleges teaching courses on Atlas Shrugged? I’m amazed by how prophetic the book is (or is it was?).

Experience is the cure for liberalism.

There is a reason that the most ardent conservatism often comes from those that experience liberalism in practice — Cuban defectors, former Soviet subjects, the American people after the Carter Administration, etc.
