Barbara Walters on Friday allowed Barack and Michelle Obama advance the myth that presidents always lose Congress during midterm elections. (Snip) I guess Walters felt it wouldn't be appropriate to contradict the President and his wife on Thanksgiving. After all, presidents losing Congress during the midterms has not been at all "the norm" since Mrs. Obama was born in 1964.

And once again the media will let Obama get away with a lie, misstatement, gaffe
Is there anyone remotely connected with this administration who isn't an idiot?

Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list

Yeah it was tough for Reagan when he lost the Congress in the midterms Midterms of 1982.
GW gained 4 house and 2 senate seats in his first midterm election. Guess thats the same as losing 63 seats.
Pray for America
We’re all gonna help Barry make some more “history” in 2012 when we bounce his ass out of our White House.
Every president in her lifetime? Except for Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, and first Bush! Unreal. Of course Nixon, Ford, and Bush all faced Congresses with heavy Democrat majorities in both houses for the entire presidencies.
Michelle Obama should know by now to be care when using a word like “always”. A President’s party losing the house is not that common, although not unheard of either. For the margin of defeat that was displayed they should be really taking notice. The ignorance and arrogance of these two is mind blowing. I wish the reporter would actually call them on all their stupid statements. I am starting to have a suspicion that Obama only agrees to them, only if the interviewer agrees to kiss his butt the entire time and never question a single answer. I cannot wait until they are gone.
