Ive never wanted to own a gun. In fact, in my former days as a liberal, I was one of those singing the mantra of gun control. Even as I morphed into a conservative adult, I still felt that there was no need for me to own a gun, but believed that was the right of all law-abiding citizens to keep and/or bear arms, should they choose to do so.
Saturday night, however, that all changed for me.
My dog and I became the targets for a drive-by shooting...
...Even though it was most likely a random act of stupidity by kids, its put me in the position where I can no longer put off the decision as to whether or not to own a gun.
And I really resent that...

Research it yourself but in California “curio and relic” long guns that are 50 or more years old may be transferred between private parties on an infrequent basis without going through a dealer. Penal Code section 12078(t)(2). That would include a wide variety of unaltered guns such as M-1 carbines, Garands, etc.

You are correct. That slipped my mind. We can even walk out of gunshows with them.

I guess I’m saying that I really hope it’s implausible and that we should all take steps to make it more so.
That would include having extras stored away, and getting others to arms themselves like they say, there’s strength in numbers.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying there’s never a reason to have extras. I got 2 chain saws. I got two generators. I got 2 Chevies. I got 2.... oh well, we won’t go there!!!
