We like to be creeped out, dont we? To kick off this Halloween season, we have chosen 10 homes in the U.S. notorious for their haunted history and spirits who like to visit. Some are privately owned homes, some are now bed-and-breakfasts, some have historic designations, and one is even the seat of our government. Take a deep breath and lets visit some of the most notable haunted homes in the U.S.:
1. The Winchester House (San Jose, CA) This amazing Victorian mansion has secret panels, hidden rooms and staircases leading to nowhere - all to keep the spirits at bay.
2. Franklin Castle (Cleveland, OH) Sounds of footsteps, babies crying and assorted other ghostly happenings keep things interesting at the Franklin Castle, which is rumored to hit the market soon. Interested?
3. The White House (Washington, DC) Yup, you recognize this place and it's haunted, all right! The most notable ghost is Abraham Lincoln and Abigail Adams is close behind.

Where’s that photo of the demonic Obama?
The White House has the Obamanation of Desolation in it.
This list better include:
It might be out in the middle of nowhere, but its pretty darn big.
lol.
don’t know about the WH being haunted but we’ll need strong cleaning material to get the smell of B.O. out of there.
The Old Stone Barracks http://www.apnmag.com/winter_2010/munroe_hauntedplattsburgh.php on former Plattsburgh AFB was one scary building.
Apparently even the guard dogs would not go near the building.
The Thesaurus look-up of the word “ghost” yields:
“apparition, appearance, banshee, daemon, demon, devil, eidolon, ethereal being, haunt, incorporeal being, kelpie, manes, phantasm, phantom, poltergeist, revenant, shade, shadow, soul, specter, spook, vampire, vision, visitor, wraith, zombie”
So much could be used from this list. LOL
The White House eh? Come on Abe, Abigail, do your stuff and scare the beejezus out of the Obama’s and DRIVE THEM OUT OF THERE! Save the REPUBLIC!
Abby could be especially effective against the Voodoo Queen (and his wife! BWAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)
Ghost of Abe Lincoln... “Man, what was I thinking...?”
...and ghosts jumping up and down on the bed in the Lincoln bedroom.
