Where did President Obama get that phrase? He must be a fan of the band Varsity. Here is verse 1 of the the lyrics of the "Boy Meets Girl" by Drew Ryan Scott of the boy band Varsity Fanclub.

I honestly think that Obama, most of his advisors and/or many of his speechwriters are heavy readers of sites like DU and MoveOn, and they pick up the banter from there.

It's just a phrase someone picked up and it got a chuckle somewhere. It doesn't mean he listens to that band any more than if he pulls a phrase out of the Bible, or from Shakespeare, or from the United States Constitution, it means he's read any of them.
