Free and Open....Like for folks watching porn at the public libraries!!!
While we are handing out goodies, I have to say that I would like to have a mansion and a yacht.
I hate that graphic. It’s like the ‘workers of the world unite’ fists in the air.
Government owned web...who would have thunk....
I see that the “won” has his priorities straight as usual...
No idea what he was talking about.
i don’t understand. my most basic need is water. if the internet is free then why the hell do i have to pay for water. in fact i can think of other things more important than the internet. how bout food too, and electricity and a place to stay.
Obama’s idea of the word free is when someone else pays for it.
So those of us that have already earned and sacrificed in other areas, to have broadband internet access, ON OUR OWN:
Do we get a cash credit?
Whenever Obastard or liberals talk about something for “free”, they really mean that they will force others to pay for it so that people who vote for them can get it with no charge.
No such thing as free. The American public would be paying for internet access for all the “poor” and “downtrodden” in the world!
ANOTHER scheme to disguise a massive transfer of wealth from those who worked for it to those who lob around and vote liberal.
Remove the “R” from free and it’s fee, so there ya “R”.
If you want free internet, walk (a free activity) down to the nearest library branch (also free) and use one of their internet-connected machines (also free).
Go here and look at this map, paid for by Porkulus money:
http://www.broadband.gov/maps/availability.htm
Then tell me why we should give away $7.2 BILLION to expand broadband access. Oops, silly me, I should say “why we GAVE away $7.2 BILLION”...past tense. Next week is the end of the program that was supposed to save the economy by creating all kinds of new jobs.
Now if we’d just had the map before the money was all spent...
Someone tell Barry that you need a computer and an ISP first.
Free and open just like the Cuban model!
I’ll take free interwebs. I want a pony too. Can I have a pony?
Even I realize he meant “free” as in free speech not “free” as in free beer.
The government has already paid for broadband expansion, giving the telcos billions in various considerations in the 90s. They didn’t deliver. I believe part of our phone bills goes towards that too.
