Delaware Senate Race: O'Donnell Opponent Chris Coons Restricts Access To Records Just Like Obama

The media is fawning all over Chris Coons right now. The are just as ready to anoint him to the US Senate today as they were to anoint Mike Castle yesterday. Yet what do we really know about Chris Coons. While everyone is busy micro- investigating Christine O'Donnell we hear little about Coons-other than how lucky he is and how he will win.

Well, I don't know much about Chris Coons either. But a little checking brings up a disturbing trait he has in common with Obama. It seems that Chris Coons likes to restrict or hinder access to public records like Obama. Case in point, as County Executive of New Castle County Coons has restricted access to the public records that county legislators need to make decisions. By Executive order he decrees that all County Board members must make a formal FOIA request, pay fees and wait for records.

He’s an admitted commie. Delaware is mostly rural outside of Baltimore. The inner city won’t be coming out to vote for him. I think it’s hers in a walk.

How can someone who writes an autobiographical book called “The Making of a Bearded Marxist” be electable in the US? But then again, I thought that Americans could not possibly elect a disciple of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, so what do I know?

An article Democrat Chris Coons wrote for his college newspaper may not go over so well in corporation-friendly Delaware, where he already faces an uphill battle for Vice President Joe Biden’s old Senate seat.

The title? “Chris Coons: The Making of a Bearded Marxist.”

In the article, Coons, then 21 years old and about to graduate from Amherst College, chronicled his transformation from a sheltered, conservative-minded college student who had worked for former GOP Delaware Sen. William Roth and had campaigned for Ronald Reagan in 1980 into a cynical young adult who was distrustful of American power and willing to question the American notion of free enterprise.

“My friends now joke that something about Kenya, maybe the strange diet, or the tropical sun, changed my personality; Africa to them seems a catalytic converter that takes in clean-shaven, clear-thinking Americans and sends back bearded Marxists,” Coons wrote, noting that at one time he had been a “proud founding member of the Amherst College Republicans.”

Hoffman said the trip to Kenya helped lead to Coons’ decision to become a Democrat.

Who, in their right mind, would vote for someone named Coons for US Senate? Only in America, folks...

Harry Reid today said that Coons is “his pet”.

If people in Delaware had any self-respect they won’t send a guy who is the “pet” of someone else to represent them.

Coons Canadian fundraiser

Coons attended a fundraising event with the “Committee for a Better Future” held in Vancouver, Canada on Sunday, his campaign confirmed.

The NRSC, in criticizing the trip, described the committee as “a joint venture of the Democrat party establishment and the Washington, DC-based trial lawyers’ lobbying association.” The NRSC said both groups “have been under heavy fire in the United States for their out-of-control job-killing agendas.”

Standard operating procedure for a RAT is covering things up. Even when it is uncovered fellow RATS love them more because they think they will be able to steal more on their behalf.

What you need to know:Progressive Chris Coons is fighting to keep Joe Biden’s Senate seat in Democratic hands.

Coons first entered politics with an extensive background in foreign policy issues. He studied at the University of Nairobi, volunteered with the South African Council of Churches, worked in Kenyan relief efforts, and wrote reports on disinvestment from aparthied-dominated South Africa and rain forest destruction in Central America.

He supports ratification of the two key arms control treaties – both New START and the test ban treaty – and steps toward a world free of nuclear weapons.

Council for a Livable World Candidate

Since our founding in 1962, the Council has advocated for nuclear arms control and progressive policies on other issues of national security.

Council for a Livable World, the nation’s leading arms control advocacy organization, added one more win to its extensive record of supporting progressive candidates in tight primaries in elections for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

Chris Coons is definitely NOT God’s gift to women, is certainly no Joe Biden and therefore NOT invincible. And he has NEVER run in a statewide election. And he is supposed to beat O’Donnell by 20 points. BS!

And he’s a Marxist.
