Christine O'Donnell won the Delaware primary last night, and within minutes (literally) über liberal Rachel Maddow started running video and commentary on MSNBC about O'Donnell's views on masturbation.
The pretext for sexualizing O'Donnell was a 1996 video in which O'Donnell was interviewed about her conservative Christian views on sex.
Before Maddow's post, the subject mostly was the subject of left-wing bloggers, but Maddow took it mainstream on MSNBC's primetime coverage.
An almost 15-year old video was all the excuse Maddow needed to take the story national. Because the fate of the nation turns on whether O'Donnell masturbates, at least to Maddow.
One can understand why Alan Colmes would get all excited about the subject, but why the person who runs the liberal feminist blog Feministe?
Because liberal feminism is dead, and has been for years.
Liberal feminism began its death spiral no later than when Democratic Party loyalists defended serial abuser Bill Clinton and demonized his victims (right around the time of O'Donnell's interview, as coincidence would have it).
The liberal feminist death march has continued through the sexualized attacks on Sarah Palin and other conservative women in more recent times.
But, it's not like I didn't see this coming.

Interesting how women (womyn?) from the left belittle conservative women political candidates. Very catty of them.

It died when a phony sexual harassment case was trotted out in an effort to destroy Clarence Thomas for getting "uppity". Women and their legal rights were just tools to help promote Marxism. Truth and personal dignity obviously meant nothing to feminists.
Clinton reinforced the lesson for those who missed it the first time.

Didn’t Rush predict this? Didn’t he say, just yesterday, that when the left targets an individual they first get personal against that individual (never on the issues, of course) and then get sneeringly and sickeningly sexual?
The Left is scared to death of the Revolution that is going on! They are trying to club her over the head before she gets any momentum. The Left and the RINOs have no idea what they have just done. She will probably raise $500K+ in one day off of her website.
November will be a great month for conservatives!
Maddow is hot for O’Donnell and it’s making her crazy.

I saw this in the middle of the night on MSNBC and immediately thought that this old MTV interview, on the abstinence group she organized, will only encourage her supporters and cement her position as a real conservative.
Maddow is a sick person. She needs some medical help.
Has anyone ever seen Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann together in the same place, at the same time...? ;)
