Book burning is antithetical to American ideals. People have a constitutional right to burn a Koran if they want to, but doing so is insensitive and an unnecessary provocation – much like building a mosque at Ground Zero.

Funny, I don't recall uttering the word "insensitive" or the asking the pastor to "stand down". Like I said, I couldn't care less. I personally hate to see good TP like that wasted, though.

It's about face time in the media over a story that would not be, unless all the actors in this political theater weren't always trying to outdo one another in a popularity contest for Right votes or Left votes. The Media cameras roll, stick a microphone in their faces and they all seem to jump! It's Show Time!
Saturday comes and Americans will be at their kids soccer game or watching some sporting event--working outside..the usual. The politicians will be behind closed doors planning their strategy..and that's why they all look so pasty on camera. They don't live in our world.

Anyone trying to compare building a mosque on a site where thousands of Americans died because of islam and a guy in Florida burning some books should simply be ignored. One killed innocent people, the other does not. Unless, of course, some Muslim decides to use it as an excuse to kill some more innocent people. Islam, would once again be responsible, not the guy in Florida.
Am disheartened by all of the people here who think she did the “right” thing.
