Doubtful: the tea party will also hold republicans feet to the fire as well especially if they do nothing to lower taxes and create jobs and get the economy moving in the right direction again even if it means going around Obama to do it.

Republican members and caucuses inevitably will do some foolish, cynical and faithless things that will let President Obama make them the issue in 2012

Maybe. But I still dont think he will seek re-election.

So, what exactly is the republican’s plan?

What are they going to DO once they get control back?

Have they SAID?

This person wants to SEE what they are planning, FIRST.

Nope, because we will have to work equally hard to make sure the RINO fringe of the GOP doesn't muck it up by insisting on being Democrat lite again.

The TP will hold all the “conservative” members accountable if they don’t repeal or defund ObamaCare.

Gridlock will limit new spending programs, but also means no real change to policies already in place

Wrong. Congress, specifically the US House, hold the purse strings. Simply de-fund it all and dare 0 to veto the whole budget.

IF the GOP is bold they can kick 0 butt politically. They absolutely MUST not go back to their current crop of Democrat Lite leadership to achieve this end.

l nous faut de l'audace, encore de l'audace, toujours de l'audace!

No, because too many ‘Republicans’ currently in office are just a shade south of being frickin Democrats. If we win, we will be relentless in weeding out these posers and vanquish them to the shit pile of losers.... Seeing what Obama has done in this short time has recalibrated our ‘tolerance’ very, very significantly. He will have set progressivism back a thousand years, in my book.

"Will the Tea Party Fade if Republicans Win It All?"

Short answer - no, the Tea Party won't fade if Republicans win it all.

We're not going to reset the country back to its Founding Principles and core American values in one election cycle.

It's going to take a sustained campaign of insurgent political activism to root all of the Socialists and RINOs out of the system. Until we do, they'll be doing everything in their power to continue doing business as usual, which will keep the blood pressure elevated among the voters.

The Tea Party started UNDER the Republicans (GWB). The Left keeps trying to re-write history.

This is as dumb a statement as saying Rush will retire if a Republican takes the White House.

Sounds like the same dumb question that comes up every four years about Rush Limbaugh and conservative talk radio. “If the Republicans win, will conservative talk radio and Rush go away?” The answer was and still is NO.

No way. You think the dims are scared of the Tea Party. Wait until the GOP takes over and you will see some REALLY Scared Reps and Senators.

They will have their feet to the fire because no matter how anyone tries to twist the truth, the Tea Party will be held responsible when the GOP wins.

The country has a long way to go and their are still too many Rinos for my liking. One is one too many.

It may actually get stronger. The tea party was born in large part out of frustration with the GOP. When the GOP takes it and fails to repeal Obamist legislation, the frustration level will increase that much more.

This is a fight for the soul of America, starting with the soul of the GOP.

I think a lot of people understand that our problems are bigger than what can be solved with one election or even winning the White House back. We had the White House and control of both houses of congress and watched things go from bad to worse. GOP control isn’t enough if the GOP doesn’t know what it stands for. The tea party is cleaning house, getting rid of the weak sisters in the GOP and then getting rid of the Dems. This isn’t just going to turn the GOP around, it will turn both parties around.

Even that isn’t enough, though, if the principles that work, that the country is founded upon are not taught in schools. If your enemy teaches your kids, and entertains them, and provides you with your news, any gains you make will be temporary ones. Taking back control of the White House and the Congress is a good first step but if it stops there our victory will not sustain itself.

The TEA party is uniquely American. If the Repubs listen to them and the majority of real Americans and bring this nation back to it’s founding principles and fiscal sanity the TEA party folks can get back to our lives(like working a job, raising our kids, you know, normal stuff) but if they don’t listen, we’ll be back. We’ll be back as often as it takes to remind both of these political parties just who it is they work for.
