The Hill runs a report crediting Sarah Palin for her many Republic primary victories. Before conservatives take too much pleasure in such news, read how she is credited with helping sweep John McCain to victory. Palin traveled to Arizona and made numerous campaign appearances with McCain, bringing him the Tea Party creds he so desperately needed to undercut the fact that he is a nearly three-decades-long, left-leaning Washington insider.
That Palin chose to conveniently back McCain over conservative former U.S. Rep. J.D. Hayworth is a truth that should not soon be forgotten. Her help, McCains falsely running to the right, taking positions adverse to his established ones and $21 million dollars in attack ads did the trick.
Sarah Palin is all about expediency. She is no conservative.
They’re shilling for Barry!
The Palinistas refuse to admit that they are just like the Obamatrons they despise.
Saint Sarah could have endorsed anyone, and they would have rationalized it.
Sarah is against "amnesty" and what she calls "kneecap and tax" - so what do you think?
McCain has Governor Jan Brewer and the people of AZ to answer to, before he answers to Sarah.
McCain is vindictive. Sarah and Jan Brewer were politically smart to endorse him, and Jan Brewer, in particular, was very smart to endorse him. It should keep him "on the AZ reservation" so to speak.
If Sarah runs, she will call in her chips from McCain.
Sarah has now repaid McNuts in full. She owes him nothing beyond this point, and will probably be far too busy with bigger things to even think about taking another call from him.
It would be nice, but let’s be realistic about one thing, McCain is never going to go away completely this side of the grave.
If he had lost his Senate nomination to JD, he would be at a new office on K Street the same week his replacement was sworn in.
I understand and forgive Sarah’s endorsement of McCain, this time. She had a debt, she paid it. At a certain level of politics, those things are important and have to be honored.
But as far as I am concerned, that’s ALL she owes him and she needs to make that clear to the people who support her, if she wants him to KEEP supporting her, that is.
Wait, are you saying Sarah Palin endorsed McCain?
I mean are you seriously saying that McCain’s VP nominee campaigned for McCain?
WTF?!
We all had no idea! If only you had told us earlier!
My God man this is like breaking news!
I mean here we are, sitting here wondering how on earth Juan Mcdouchehead was able to win a primary, after being the presidential nominee, by 30 points!
And you come along and tell us he was championed by Sarah Palin!
Oh yeah this changes everything, thanks for the update.
A website no one else has heard of except the thread poster............
Think about that......
"There are no officially declared candidates."
That was evasive, but you are a Ron Paul supporter aren't you?
Then why publicly declare that she supports McCain's position on immigration (i.e., "amnesty")? And why the continued fumbles on stating that the present law should be enforced, i.e., that unlawfully-present foreign aliens ought to be deported?
If Sarah runs, she will call in her chips from McCain.
Who will then turn around and stab her.
McCain has a long record of disloyalty, and there's no reason to believe that he's about to change his ways.
McCain is vindictive. Sarah and Jan Brewer were politically smart to endorse him
So you're suggesting that they endorsed him out of fear?
It should keep him "on the AZ reservation" so to speak.
So in order to appease McCain, they had to go along to get along.
Sounds wishy-washy and RINO-like to me.
I supported Ron Paul in the 2008 Virginia presidential primary (the other two choices were Huckabee and McCain), however, I have publicly stated (as of this year) that I support DeMint and McClintock as acceptable candidates in 2012.
Sure. Whatever ya say, sparky. You found the time to do all that, in between all the running gun battles you're having on this thread tonight. Right.
Oh, you're motivated all right, and it isn't because of your concern for the conservative cause.
IMHO President Palin will nominate John McCain as US Ambassador to Vietnam.
Leaving the seat - to JD.
It takes me about 2-3 minutes to pull several links and type them up, considering that I am capable of keyword searching and writing HTML is not terribly hard to do.
Uh huh.
Right.
Hmmm......I like it! You got a secret crush on Sarah or something? I'll bet you do! Go on. Tell it. You know you do.
Yes, some of us young'uns are actually adept at using technology, including the magical technology of "cut-and-paste."
I believe that you are still what we call a dedicated Ron Paul fan though, correct, and which McClintock?
LOL - No, people such as yourself need to assess their capacity to function as sane adults.
So who do you support in 2012?
Or is it “too early” to divulge who you’re shilling for?
