So will Palin be there for McCain when he inevitably returns to backing amnesty? Or cap-and-tax?

Sarah is against "amnesty" and what she calls "kneecap and tax" - so what do you think?

McCain has Governor Jan Brewer and the people of AZ to answer to, before he answers to Sarah.

McCain is vindictive. Sarah and Jan Brewer were politically smart to endorse him, and Jan Brewer, in particular, was very smart to endorse him. It should keep him "on the AZ reservation" so to speak.

If Sarah runs, she will call in her chips from McCain.

Sarah is against "amnesty"

Then why publicly declare that she supports McCain's position on immigration (i.e., "amnesty")? And why the continued fumbles on stating that the present law should be enforced, i.e., that unlawfully-present foreign aliens ought to be deported?

If Sarah runs, she will call in her chips from McCain.

Who will then turn around and stab her.

McCain has a long record of disloyalty, and there's no reason to believe that he's about to change his ways.

McCain is vindictive. Sarah and Jan Brewer were politically smart to endorse him

So you're suggesting that they endorsed him out of fear?

It should keep him "on the AZ reservation" so to speak.

So in order to appease McCain, they had to go along to get along.

Sounds wishy-washy and RINO-like to me.
