The WH and Dems are obviously stunned by the recent Pew Poll showing that about 1 in 4 Americans believe that Obama is a Muslim. Pundits, for the last few days, have been saying that we'll soon see him publicly attending church far more often. So, Freepers, does he or doesn't he attend tomorrow? Is it too soon..would it look too obvious? What say you all??

My gut feeling is that Obama is an atheist, like his mother.

Obama used his attendance at Jeremiah Wright's racist church to build up his local Chicago political position. When that no longer served his nationwide political purposes, he threw Wright under the bus.
In regards to being a "Muslim", as an atheist, Obama is no more Muslim than he is Christian in religious terms but he is probably a "cultural Muslim" and more sympathetic to the Muslim world than he is to Christian Middle America or to religious Jews.
Since political expediency now dictates that Obama should pretend to be a practicing Christian, Obama might put on a show of going to Church for the media sycophants or he might issue a statement that he "worships privately".
Yes, you are right, but I recall he made some lasting political connections through that church. Just my opinion, but he strikes me as far too shallow to have ever pondered anything but his own wonderfulness much less to have formulated a religious philosophy.
