Homosexual Bar Near Ground Zero Mosque Called “Travesty” {SATIRE}
A Semi-News/Semi-Satire from AzConservative ^ | 14 August 2010 | John Semmens

Posted on 08/14/2010 10:55:02 AM PDT by John Semmens

The plan to build a mosque near the site of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center buildings took a new twist when an investor announced his plan to locate a homosexual bar across the street. Greg Gutfeld says the bar is “an effort to break down barriers and reduce homophobia among Muslims.”

The planned bar was labeled “insensitive” by Mayor Michael Bloomberg. “Homosexuality is considered a sin by devout Muslims,” Bloomberg asserted. “For Mr. Gutfeld to try to insert such a den of depravity so close to a place of worship is a travesty. No good can come of it.”

Mosque spokesman, Malik Killayu went even further, calling the placement of the proposed bar “a virtual declaration of war. This Jew may imagine he is opening a dialog, but he should not be surprised if a righteous Muslim opens his head with an axe for this offense against Allah and his children.”

In another travesty, a group of high school students singing the National Anthem outside the Lincoln Memorial was shocked to be stopped in mid-verse by Capitol Police. The song, it seems, is deemed “too one-sided.” “The President is trying to reach out to other countries,” explained Officer Jamaal Ahmed. “Foreigners visiting the Capitol shouldn’t be disturbed by the bellicose phrases of this ode to American might.”

I got into this thread late, John.....but it looks like you're holding a very solid batting average (in fooling FReepers); love it when these things end up making the rounds weeks later as "Fwd, fwd, fwd, fwd".

You do have an impact!

that can be dangerous for the side who affirms truth.

I wish truth were so affirmable. We've been slamming the Left with the truth and they weasle out and manage to elect the biggest liar in America History. Pelosi and Reid make this a Triple Crown of Liars in the Tournament of Deceit.

We've slammed our own with truth and yet, many still are attracted to lies such as: comprehensive immigration reform, global warming, TARP, STIMULUS, etc.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident" are words we, as a country, could live by- but don't. Our courts give the middle-finger to these truths, administration after administration bare their butts and hang them out the window of a limo at these truths. Clinton did it, Bush did it, FDR did it for Christ's sake, it's quite a fad, lately.

The current Pretend President is simply more of the same but with a different agenda (to tear down what makes us great and replace it with what won't- make us great, that is).

I can't wait for Sotomayer and Kagan to give America the 'double' bird on any issue affecting our freedoms and traditions under the guise of protecting 'freedom' and 'equality'. It'll probably be Gay (Homo) Marriage. Two women in black robes squatting and giving America two middle fingers is just what the founders envisioned, not!

Truth can be bitch, and the truth is: we haven't even come close to respecting the truths upon which our country was founded and it'll be a long damn time before we do- if we ever make it back.

Let 'em build the mosk (miss-spelled for accuracy) and let things (Islamic victory over Infidel) go their natural way. Why? Because, eventually, the truth wins out. It's like trying to fool Mother Nature- not a good idea.

I propose it* be named..."The Battle of Tours Lounge & Tap Room"
Or maybe "The Battle of Vienna Bar"
or the "Battle of Toulouse Tap Room"
Those have a nice historical basis...;)

Durn...I totally understand why you put the word “satire” in your header, but I was so hoping to read some clueless replies first. ;o)

Regarding Gutfeld’s bar..........I prefer the name “Outfidels”. For outreach purposes, it’s the obvious name. ;o)

Really, Vaquero, you should stop holding back and tell us what you REALLY think of Mr. Bloomberg.
