Earlier today, Mayor Bloomberg responded to my comments about the planned mosque at Ground Zero by suggesting that a decision not to allow the building of a mosque at that sacred place would somehow violate American principles of tolerance and openness.
No one is disputing that America stands for and should stand for religious tolerance. It is a foundation of our republic. This is not an issue of religious tolerance but of common moral sense. To build a mosque at Ground Zero is a stab in the heart of the families of the innocent victims of those horrific attacks. Just days after 9/11, the spiritual leader of the organization that wants to build the mosque, Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, suggested that blame be placed on the innocents when he stated that the United States policies were an accessory to the crime that happened and that in the most direct sense, Osama bin Laden is made in the USA. Rauf refuses to recognize that Hamas is a terrorist organization dedicated to the destruction of our ally, Israel, and refuses to provide information about the sources of funding for the $100 million mosque. Rauf also plays a key role in a group behind the flotilla designed to provoke Israel in its justifiable blockade of Gaza. These are just a few of the points Americans are realizing as New York considers the proposed mosque just a stones throw away from 9/11s sacred ground.
I agree with the sister of one of the 9/11 victims (and a New York resident) who said: This is a place which is 600 feet from where almost 3,000 people were torn to pieces by Islamic extremists. I think that it is incredibly insensitive and audacious really for them to build a mosque, not only on that site, but to do it specifically so that they could be in proximity to where that atrocity happened.
Many Americans, myself included, feel it would be an intolerable and tragic mistake to allow such a project sponsored by such an individual to go forward on such hallowed ground. This is nothing close to religious intolerance, its just common decency.

Hey Mayor Bloomberg, we are not tolerant when it comes to terrorists and Islam. We are at War with Islam, always have been, always will be. Your first duty is to remember, so you should know better than anyone. Would you have let the Japanese build a Shinto Shrine over the Arizona in honor of their dead pilots on December 7, 1941? No I didn't think so. No different here.
When adults take over the House and Senate, and Sarah is elected President, this diversity and PC nonsense is going to stop . . it has to. . for the survival of our Sacred Republic.
Michael Bloomberg needs a one-way ticket to Saudi Arabia. He can preach the virtues of tolerance to their morals police.
At’s a nice mosque you got there. Be a shame if something were to happen to it, bada-bing!
F Bloomberg. He should be spat upon whenever he is spotted in public.
There, I said it.
I wish she had someone to fight on her behalf but you’re right, she looks the better person, because SHE TRULY IS.
She’s genuine. She’s making her own case and doing it brilliantly.
Wow is she ever impressive!!!
I have a whole batch of wonderful photos of her, thanks to Sarah Fan UK, but I’m on the wrong computer or I’d post one on this thread.
Are there no others speaking out against this mosque? I thought I read somewhere that a few years ago, some Muslims wanted to build a new mosque in Moscow. They were told that when Saudi Arabia allowed a Russian Orthodox church to be built in the Kingdom, they could build their mosque in Moscow. I don’t think that ever happened.

Too mild.
I got an amber fluid emitted from an orifice further south.
See what happens when you use logic?
Great response.
Huge difference between religious freedom and religious terrorism.
Beautifully written. Sarah’s thoughts will certainly prevail. Bloomberg’s political aspirations will be mired in the mud. Forever. Ass.
I just love the way she refudiated Bloomberg.
This should be lengthened into an editorial to run in the New York Times.
I rather thought it would do more in the Hollywood area. Seriously. Those people live in their own little world there and I’m sure that they feel very safe from any attacks because it’s been the east coast. Hence, their blathering insanity concerning the WOT. It’s not even close to home for them.
America died because of the left’s pandering to those among us who hate this country more than they hate our enemies.
Why not erect a huge pan-religious complex there, then. Muslim rooms, Christian rooms, Buddhist rooms, Shinto rooms, and maybe even atheist and Scientologist rooms. That would be the only “fair” thing if Bloomberg’s logic is to be carried out to the full.
Sarah tells it like it is, but the moral equivicators/elitist cowards will focus on hating Sarah, who is, after all, the voice of reason. They’re so much more ‘holy’ than common folk, i.e. us, that they’ve forgotten how to put their pants on in the morning. Obama, like his Progressive/Marxist/Fascist pals, is like a turkey with its nose in the air: in danger of drowning in a rainstorm.
