Its sir. In my experience most BPE recipes could pass for cattle feed. Unless its really good (spiced up) I dont prefer them. Would rather have green beans w/ bacon or ham.

Had CFS TX ‘style’ a number of times. Other than size it was just like I get at home. Altho Ill give my wife 1st place just b/c. :) Never had any pico w/ it tho. LOL, never had it for breakfast then again I just cant get my innards going in the AM. For lunch, that would be a totally different story. I think it was Ft Worth where I got my last CFS and holy smokes it was HUGE. In fact everything they served was huge. I think the ice tea glass was the quart size. I did finish it all tho...was very good.

The best CFS I ever had was back in the late 80’s at a place on the near west side of Houston called Dirty’s. Huge, delicious, but the floor lived up the restaurant’s name.

Cracker Barrel’s is pretty good too. Their gravy is better than mine.

Best ever C/F steak, in the U. S. is at the “Four Corners Restaurant” in Eureka Montana, the owner never uses anything but U.S. Select Sirloin and tenderizes it. Served with Cream Gravy, Green Snap beans, hot biscuit. Just to die for
