We all know our dogs are thinking something; Bad To The Bone Tells Us What That Something Is

Human members of a dog’s family intuit that the dog leads a secret emotional and intellectual life which he or she has no intention of sharing. Everyone knows that the biggest brute of a dog wants to be puppied, and the tiniest scrap of a dog wants to be feared, but we also know that there’s more going on. Just look in a dog’s eyes. Really look. After a few seconds, the dog gets a little evasive. Dogs don’t want people to know what’s going on in their souls, especially not the people with whom they live.

Bo Hoefinger is unique. He is a literary dog who doesn’t run with the pack when it comes to keeping secrets. He’s written a book, Bad to the Bone – Memoir of a Rebel Doggie Blogger. My dog, Charity Marie, read Bad to the Bone and immediately hid it. That’s how I knew this was a book that screamed to be read.

Speaking of Danes. when hubby and I visited one of our new acquaintances for the first time..She had 2 Danes....One was sweet and could place her chin on my shoulder while I was sitting at the dining room table...the other laid on the floor and never moved a muscle, but growled all the time we were there.....I asked her about that dog on another visit.....she said “Was your husband wearing a hat?” I said yea, he never goes anywhere with a hat.....she laughed and said that particular dog hated hats

Would grown every time she saw someone wearing one...maybe its your perfume or something your wearing....(just a thought)

It's funny how dogs can judge characture. My sister in law started dating a guy she met in rehab. My dogs hated him. we had to lock them up when he was around. A month later he drugged my sister in law, stole her car, and drove it to a drug buy.

My daughter's house was broken into a few years back. She called us at 9:00 p.m. to tell us that she had just gotten home and found her window broken. I told her to call 911 from her cell phone and don't go in. The police officer was there when I arrived and my Ridgeback walked over to him and treated him like a family member. A few minutes later the land lord arrived with a drunk friend and the dog wouldn't let them near us.
