I'm watching "A few good men" right now for the gazilionth time"
I guess I don’t sit down and stare at it for two hours at a time. Different strokes and all of that, but I’m interested in what makes some people watch over and over again. I think of them as maybe having grown up as part of the video generation, when that is really how they had their favorite fairy tales and bedtime stories told to them again and again. I feel the same way about someone who reads the same novel a half-dozen times. I’m just not wired that way, so I’m curious about those who are. Do they also like to go to the same restaurant and order the same dish all the time? I don’t know.
Do you two have any paintings, photos or other objets dart in your homes? If you do, why if you are bored by seeing something more than once?
I understand your point. But to enjoy the lines and color for a few moments or even minutes here and there is way different than losing your self emotionally for an hour at a time, watching the same story.

I haven’t got issues with it at all. I don’t think anyone needs to answer to me on how they spend their time. It’s just not something I’ve the urge to do. I do wonder about the appeal—and no, movies aren’t like sex to me.
How about having the same sex partner for 30 or 40 years? Are you bored by that idea?
If it isnt a different guy every night and a trio on weekends it just doesnt hold my interest. Probably need to have some midgets, mazola oil, dress up clothes and industrial toys or I just get bored with the same old thing.
Same for you, 9Year??
Some where in Time.. Chick movie but great love story... God I been married to long. Also Willy Wonka, with Gene Wilder!~
All great movies! Battle of Britian has some of the best Cinamatography ever.
Without reading the 349 other posts, I’ll add mine . . .

LOVE The Last Starfighter!
I identify as the engineer that designed the "death blossom".
Seriously, I have numerous lifelong commitments and little time to spend on the emotional/visual film rollercoaster. Bored by two dimensional images doing predictaable things. Really bored by two dimensional images doing things I alrealy know they are going to do. Prefer the written word.
Those are secrets I don’t post on FR! ;-)
