If we can count TV movies:
I’ll add “Bleak House” (BBC version)
and my wife would like
“Pride and Prejudice” (also BBC. I proved my love by watching all six discs. Bleak House is just as long, but she liked that too.)

HOMBRE - for the best dialogue in any western (including The Searchers) - for Richard Boone - for Frank Silvera.

I never heard of that movie before so I googled the trailer and watched that. Looks like something I would really like. I'll check Amazon now and see what they have.

I love Lt Dann-—the only bright spot in an otherwise dismal movie. 8-)

Here's a question I have pondered: Why is it that, when a favorite movie like The Conversation is on TV, I can't stop watching it--even though I own the DVD? I could watch it anytime I want to, yet I take the time to watch it on TV. My theory is that it's like anything else in life--Chance encounters are always more satisfying.

“Local Hero” sounds good!
Just added it to my netflix queue!
While I usually go for romantic comedies, one of the best movies I have ever seen is “Grave of the Fire Flies”.
Be warned, though, it will haunt you for days...

My mom and I saw “The Conqueror” at the drive-in. We both burst out laughing at the Duke's “my mother”. Both of us have rarely come across anyone else that saw this movie.
