Sound politics, but surprising nonetheless coming from a guy whos positioned FreedomWorks as a sort of Tea Party HQ.

Prick Armey is about as worthless as they come.
This article is propaganda.
Dick Armey said, tea party LEADER....be careful being identified as the TEA party LEADER....
What a worthless POS...
The Tea Party is an idea. A movement of like-thinking people who are going to look at both parties and independents and judge based on the philosophy of a constitutional government who is supported and who is not.
Propaganda? That’s what I consider open borders Dickie’s organization to be.
Dick Armey is a RINO and obviously a moron.
“...both parties...judge based on the philosophy of a constitutional government...”
What democrat follows the Constitution or does not believe it is a living document?
The tea party mopvement is a non partisan movement.
It is made up of conservatives, independents and conservative and moderate democrats.
It is a movement with stated goals, ideals and objectives.
Among them are small limited government, less taxes, reduced government spending, state rights, a strong national defense and protection of our basic freedoms and liberties including property rights, gun ownership, freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
Those who oppose the tea party movement are fascist socialists and communists in other words democrats and liberals.
“Since when did he become McLame and Gramnesty?” Since he is an “Open Borders” PUNK!
“Prick Armey is about as worthless as they come.”
Another RINO afraid to win . . . throw them all out of office. Cowards . . . no fire in the belly . . . why is it that only the dummycrats know how to get fire in their bellies, but not the RINOs”
I have begun to think of most of the Republican national leadership and the bulk of the news commentators on Fox to be nothing more than labor bosses.
They are all in favor of new things as long as it poses no direct risk to them on the Republian party/platform.
What does the T E A party really mean? It isn't a club that strikes only dimocrats - it is equally effective against R I N Os. The fact that most R I N Os are senior members of the Republican Party and are in line to take over very powerful committee chairs are things that are forgotten. The T E A party means to break the massive power base that has collected inside the beltway for the last 80 - 90 years. There is NO REQUIREMENT for Congress to meet every day nor to have such a deep reach into our lives and pay checks.
Thank you, Dick.
Now, be careful about how far that gratitude will take you. Notice that you wanted us to throw Tancredo under the bus...and Tancredo is not under a bus. Take a lesson.
Many establishment Republicans are terrified to stand on their own two feet and be proud conservatives. To my knowledge, all of the TEA party candidates are proud conservatives. That kind of pride scares the establishment that they might lose their power. That’s why politicians need to be changed early and often.
“The Tea Party needs to remain independent with no central organization.”
Exactly, that is the beauty of it. Dick Armey is proving himself to be clueless as to what the Tea Party is all about.
This drives the liberals NUTS, and it scares them to death. All they want is a TEA PARTY LEADER: Somebody they can single out, aim at, destroy, harass, slander, and mock. It's killing them that there is no individual for them to attack.
Blew hot tea right out through my nose. Do you know how that HURTS??
There is no ‘Tea Party’, as a coherent organization. There are folks who consider themselves ‘tea partiers’, because of their ideas about excessive government spending and its involvement in peoples’ everyday lives, but they are not members of any ‘Tea Party’.
