I get the sense that FR is for people who have klives, and we jump in, read a little, comment on a couple things and then go back to real life. DU [which matters only in that it gives material for this, the best regular feature on FR, both for entertainment and for insight into the minds of those people]seems like a place where most of the posters live, looking for a kind of vicarious existence, like Star Trek fans. I don`t consider it a watering hole, more like The Black Hole of Bukowki`s.

I don't think Wee Willie is actually posting over there these days. His style is too recognizable. But several DUmmies, including the enamored CaliforniaPeggy ("My dear Will... "), have been posting his truthout essays as he churns them out.
