Because this many Americans want it, it is good for America, and therefore, WILL NEVER HAPPEN!
Why would anyone be opposed?
1) Seizure of citizen's 401(k)'s by the federal government to pay for out of control spending.
2) Seizure of citizens guns to prevent social unrest.
3) Cancellation of national elections in order to allow the government to focus on a "crisis".
4) Publication of the results of an audit of the Federal Reserve.
If any of these things happen, there will be blood in the streets
The Fed is the main prop supporting Federal deficits, the growth of Government and the entitlement state.
Get rid of the Fed, and in addition to eliminating the bubble-blowing and exaggerated business cycles, you will elimininate the stealth tax of inflation on productivity, and above all, it will kill the Progressive movement.
The people who control money supply in America need secrecy in order to function,,,, got it.
