If youve ever been issued a traffic ticket by a red light or speeding camera, you will revel in the bittersweet justice one luck recipient bestowed upon his local nanny state police department.
Upon receiving a speeding ticket in the mail, Brian McCrary followed the citations payment instructions and attempted to pay his $90 fine on the Bluff City Police Departments (BCPD) website. Much to his surprise, he discovered its domain name was about to expire.
Instead of paying his fine, McCrary saw it as a rare opportunity to literally pay back the police department for violating his civil liberties with Big Brother traffic cameras ...

Probably not almost killing someone. Red light cameras mostly get people who just missed the yellow, and most municipalities have a time frame when all lights are red. The cameras are just the government taking an ownership mentality to us, they don’t stop the dangerous red light runners, and they don’t save lives.

There’s someone else with common sense on here? Kudos!
See the movie Demolition Man.
"You are fined one credit for a violation of the Verbal Morality Statute. "
Then he reversed gears and ran over the cure for cancer. The effrontery of the man!
This guy is awesome!
LMAO!!!!
Guy, does your p***y itch or something? Relax!
A violent invasion which has left hundreds of thousands of Americans dead or harmed by this violent invasion?
I would sell it back for 9000
I’ve read that rear-end collisions are being caused by these cameras. Do you think we can conclude they’re money makers and not for traffic safety?
That's because you live in Seattle where it's considered right and proper to call the city hotline to report speeders. Hence the multitude of "Report Speeders" signs posted along the highways around there.
We have those cameras in our town. If you stop with your bumper over the white line, you get a ticket. Yesterday, I was ridding with my daughter who only has a learners permit. We came upon one of those intersections and the light turned yellow when we were far too close to stop. My daughter practically skidded trying to stop in time while the car behind us was inches away trying to avoid hitting us. I ask her why she did that and she said, “ It’s one of those that takes your picture.” I feel those are actually MORE likely to cause a crash.
Red light cameras are not about safety. They are about revenue.
Post a cop at the light and hand out tickets the old fashioned way.
They don't have to. They could use union government employees to do all that. It's not like they're very busy. But instead of a 50% loss of ticket revenue, it would cost them 200% of revenue.
Actual news article, not filtered through a blog.
Again, since young Brian McClary seems to think that police services are a joke, perhaps the people that are in need of them should call him.
I don’t think the cameras cause rear end collisions. It’s the people behind you that aren’t paying attention.
And the attributes of people speeding recklessly down the highway in Texas are?
