Video showing heroic efforts by people who are cleaning the oil off the pelicans from the Gulf of Mexico area during the past two months since the start of the massive BP oil spill. Also showing the detailed process in how these birds are cleaned up. God Bless these people, that are TRULY PROFILES IN COURAGE.

Good video and nice advertisement for Dawn dish detergent, eh?
Heroic?
Heroic?They're heroes to the birds.
Considering the hugh effort in this rescue and cleaning up, it is indeed. :)
so negative.......trump that..what do they do with them after they are “dawned”.......drive them to Fort pierce so they can fly back........Sad situation........
It is a sad situation. I haven’t my hearing, so I didn’t pick up on where they were bringing them; is Fort Pierce on the east side of Florida?
You live down there. What are you doing to help???
waste of time, imo. I think these people are there to make themselves feel superior, not to help any birds.
Not freaking out about it for starters.
"The Earth Organization is bringing micro organism technology into Louisiana to handle the oil spill.
Micro organisms are the primary converters on this planet. They change things. To relate this article specifically to the Gulf Coast oil spill, there are certain micro organism products which address the problem of an overwhelming amount of oil. The micro organisms actually eat and digest the oil, breaking it down into non-toxic substances and, when there is no more oil to eat, those micro organisms then die off themselves.
There has never been found a single bad side effect from this process and, in fact, there are many good side effects from it. Not only will the oil be cleaned up, but there will be a rejuvenation of the health of the wildlife in the area, with a relatively quick resurgence of flora, fauna, and marine life, including shrimp, fish and oysters. With a proper application of the micro organisms to an area, were talking a few weeks to a few months, not decades, to clean it up.
The same type of partnering relationship exists in any environment, be it a farm, an animal, marshlands, a river, or the ocean. Micro organism products utilize specific combinations of these beneficial micro organisms that assist and aid life in its efforts to survive.
The application and use of micro organism technology is completely safe, extremely effective, and relatively inexpensive compared to other proposed solutions. In looking over all of the information, there is no question that the micro organism technology is the only true solution to the Gulf Coast oil spill, when taking all elements of the problem into consideration."
Pelicans? Not so much.
Hope they don't wind up like the seals that were released by misguided idiots, only to be instantly eaten by killer whales (on camera).

Killer whales gotta eat, too.
Well then forgive us for disturbing your sleep. Have another beer and take another toke and go back to bed.
What good is it to clean the pelicans? Their environment will repeat for them the problem. Are all the rescuees to be put in cages to prevent them from getting oil-soaked all over again? This is not a localized problem where the pelicans can be cleaned up and released a few miles down the coast, and besides, they will return to their home grounds from wherever. They are birds and they fly. The air has no fences.
By all means, freak out about the oil that isn’t on the beach.
Charter a boat and go look for it. Hell, charter several.
Get Geraldo to ride along, carry paper towels to soak it up.
Spray detergent on any animals you see. It’ll make them cry but you’ll look like a hero.
Pick up tar balls on the beach. Pick up two.
Lord knows you need a pair.
Hugh indeed; and series.
Help who? BP?
yup
