Jeff is finally "waking up" from the Friday surgery. The swelling has gone WAY down except for one hand. They took his breathing tube out this afternoon and he is talking to me (albeit VERY softly). I was reading him some of the posts and he said to ask everyone to pray for water. He is VERY thirsty and can't have any water until tomorrow. =(
He still is pretty immobile and has lots of drain tubes coming from everywhere. The pain meds are working at keeping him comfortable, but since he just got off the breathing tube, they don't want him sleeping much and have decreased the dose a little for the time being.
There's not a whole lot to report, but I thought you all would like to know that he is MUCH better than he was yesterday.
Prayers up.
Get well, Jeff.
We need more of your writing and your commentary.
Prayers for Jeff and Yourself.
Prayers your way, Jeff.
Thanks again for the update.
May God continue to give you strength and healing.
Way to go Jeff. Hurry back - we miss your great posts!
Prayers and best regards to you all. Thank you for the update.
may God bless you and Jeff.
Thanks again for the updates!
Sounds like things are coming along well. Prayers up for you all!
Great news! Keep up with the ice chips...they can be like heaven when your thirsty and the folks in charge won’t let cha drink! Jeff is probably in quite a vulnerable state, please tell him we are praying, the easy part, and he is healing, the hard part. For you, too, Gail. Keep strong!
Continued Prayers.
Jeff,
You pray thy will be done. Water will come. Careful what pray for because God’s abundance is much.
Surrounding you and your husband with our prayers.
Yee haw... sounding pretty good! Continued prayers going up.
Continued prayers.
Continued prayers for Jeff.
Still praying here.
May Jeff improve little by little every day.
He is such a brave man; and you, Gail, are a wonderful wife.
Gail,
Thank you for the update. I have been praying for Jeff and your family.
Gail_Head, special prayers for you too. The Caregiver is a very special and important person.
