Fear, it is said, is a great motivator. When someone on unemployment sees benefits running out and the fears of starvation, losing ones house and seeing their children suffer arise it often motivates them to get off their butt and work. When one hears the footsteps of a burglar ascending the stairs to their bedroom fear often motivates them to collect their gun and prepare to shoot first and ask questions later. When those who believe they are endowed by God with the right to lead men fear loosing their power the motivation often arises for them to do whatever it takes to keep such from happening by any means necessary.
I fear things too. And I am not afraid to speak of them.
I fear that if a November ballot box revolution should be completed and those currently holding down the yoke upon our necks be removed that the new class of rulers swept into power will resolve some of the issues but still maintain a tyranny upon us. It may well be a softer tyranny; a kinder, gentler oppression, but still a tyranny none the less. I fear that this lesser tyranny will lull into sleep Americans who will slumber as the soft tyranny slowly becomes a sledgehammer which future rulers will use to bludgeon us across our heads and that we will be returned to our current misery within a few short years.
I hope however that such will not come to pass.
But if, by chance my fears are misplaced and this new class of ruler is indeed true to our Constitution, limited government and the inalienable rights of all mankind my fears will not be quashed. No, new fears will be raised in my mind. First is that in 2012 people will forget how hideous and anti-American the man sitting in the White House is because he has not been able to implement even more radical planks of an agenda that should never be uttered from the lips of any who call this soil home. I fear that he would be reelected and in the long run do further damage through any powers he can silently muster behind the scenes with unholy authorities slowly amassed by the Office of the President.
I hope however that such will not come to pass.
And, if by sheer will power, after the elections of 2012 we have a complete government of, for and by the people overseen by a limited government whose authority is restrained by the Constitution I fear that within a generation we will have lost it all and begun this cycle again. I fear that too many people will forget the heinous ideas of those that seek to order Americans in matters of how and where to live, what products to buy and even when to die. I fear that under the prosperity that would without a doubt ensue we would once again have too many yearning for bigger government once again.
But you know what my greatest fear is? My greatest fear is that we never get that far through the electoral process. My greatest fear is that we are stalled. I fear that the American public will become lulled to sleep between now and the elections in November by a sense of false stability and manipulated numbers and facts. I fear that too many will be bought off with promises of other peoples money and that they will believe that everything is alright because of a slight rebound in the stock markets although the troubles and bad policies that caused the pain in the first place were not solved. I fear that come November Americans will not change course as we again return to Washington those the vast majority of those whose ideas who have brought us misery and will bring us misery again.
I hope however that such will not come to pass. Because I fear that if it does come to pass the worst of all situations will befall this Republic. I fear that we will degenerate once again into war. However this time states will have a legitimate cause to leave the union. And I believe they will. It will however be unlike the previous time this was tried where states believed falsely that it was their right to secede in order to oppress persons within their boundaries and deny them their inalienable rights based on the color of their skin. But knowing tyrants as I do I know that the Tyrants of the Potomac will not allow such to happen.
For they will know that it shall be the productive that shall leave them and that it will be the looters which they will be left to rule over along with a dwindling Treasury with which to appease the classes they have made dependant upon their actions. The Tyrants of the Potomac will never allow freedom loving men and women to leave without a fight. I fear that blood will be spilled in the pursuit of unjust power. I fear that wives will lose their husbands, that children will lose their fathers and that brothers will lose their brothers and even once again be compelled to fight against them.
I fear that Americans will have to once again fight for their liberty in the manner that is always the last resort and that while the result of such a war may well be good, the battles themselves and individually will never be such.
There is one thing that I do not fear however. I do not fear however that God has left us. He is still at our side. And by his grace, and by whatever path must be followed, we will overcome.
I fear it will. And I hope I’m long dead before then.
Someone once observed rightfully that when the people fear their government that that is tyranny and when the government fears its citizens that that is democracy. Truer words were never spoken. And those words are truer today than at any other time in our history.
Wondering how much Cutty is behind this article.
“And I hope Im long dead before then.”
Not me. If it’s going to happen, I want it to be on my watch. I wanna play.

“loosing”?
I wish the author would fear looking like a blowbag idiot and check their grammar and usage of the English language. Fear is a powerful motivator, or so I gather.
If the communists aren't removed from power on November 2012, my guess is yes...
Yuck, Cutty? Who drinks that paint thinner!?!?!? Get a bottle of Famous Grouse. Best Blended there ever was for the money.
As far as the post: Screw Fear. I was dead before I was alive (been there done that). Teach your children well, draw a line in the sand and kill any bastard who steps over it to usurp your rights.
Will this all end in a civil war?
The Bible is pretty clear on how it all will end.
It will end with a one-world government being established, with the U.S. either an insignificant or non-existant power in the world, with a one-world leader taking control over the whole globe, a World-War 3 scenario coming down -- and then, at the end of a period of 7 Years of the Tribulation time (as described in the Bible) -- it will end (that Tribulation time) with the Messiah of Israel coming back to earth, defeating the one-world government, going to war against all the enemies of Israel and of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and killing millions upon millions of people in the world, who oppose Him -- and then setting up His own one-world government, upon defeating all the other nations in the world, including the United States -- and setting Himself up as the King of the world, over all nations.
That's how it all ends ... :-)
And then, it's the Millennial Kingdom on earth, in which the King of Kings rules over all the peoples and nations of the world.
At that point, you don't have to worry about elections any longer, no worries about the Constitution, and the "rule" of this nation will be done from Israel, and not Washington DC, and/or locally or in the states. There will be no such thing as Federalism or State Rights to be concerned about or to worry about.
Oh..., and one more thing ... it's something that will be seen happening in the lifetimes of many who are able to read this forum... so we're not talking about something that is happening way into the next century or millennia... :-) Most likely, you'll see this personally ...
"Rebellion to Tyrants is obedience to God"
Reverse side of the First Committee U.S. seal proposal.
The first committee consisted of Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams.
Franklin chose an allegorical scene from Exodus, described in his notes as "Moses standing on the Shore, and extending his Hand over the Sea, thereby causing the same to overwhelm Pharaoh who is sitting in an open Chariot, a Crown on his Head and a Sword in his Hand. Rays from a Pillar of Fire in the Clouds reaching to Moses, to express that he acts by Command of the Deity." Motto, "Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God."

FEAR- It can paralyze or spur to extreme action. Some cower and others react to deal with the threats!
Whatever it takes, so may it be!
States Rebellion II
Wow...sooooo..one dictator for another?
A King, not a dictator
Wow...sooooo..one dictator for another?
Yeah, exactly -- you get two "one-world governments" right in a row. The first one is evil and receives the judgment of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the second one utterly destroys the first one -- and establishes a one-world government ruled with a "rod of iron" -- very firm, and penalties given without any appeal and judgment dispensed immediately -- and with no recourse and no appeals at all.
The only thing about the second one-world government -- is -- it's the "righteous one-world government" of the Messiah of Israel. When you're "guilty" in that government -- you're guilty and that's the end of the story ... :-)
So, you're not going to get out of a "one-world government" no matter what you think -- it's coming and the righteous one is the one that destroys all others...
I fear I feel the breeze of civil war. As I sat today in the most beautiful ranch ever put on this earth, watching the horses gallop to the lake to drink, the cows moos rang out, calling for their babies to follow... the spring breeze as I swung in a nice swing under the shade of massive oak trees. I had to stop in myself and think “there can’t be a more perfect or heavenly moment than this and if I died right this second, I would die in bliss.” And as I looked out across the fields, I also recognized that 150 years ago a man named Sherman marched, killed and burned all that I looked upon, all that I take for granted today. It was sobering to say the least.
I fear fascism has taken root in America.
A civil war or a revolution of some kind or even some destruction of America such as a great depression may sadly not be unrealistic. But we must fight the good fight anyways. The lay down and have it un us over is worse. Then they can do whatever they want.
I also think a whole host of other problems will arise from both defeating the left in 2010 and 2012 and from either having successfully proven Obama is ineligible to have been president or that he sold his senate seat or some other violations and the impeachment that comes from it.
What will happen is the left which is the real threat to America and are real violent will mobilize and cause damage when finally exposed. We must pray for thi nation because a lot of rabid libs will be either upset they lost, Obama was a fraud, or that Conservatives are in power. And that is dangerous.
But we have the guns right? because these idiots don’t mess around.
He will rule with a rod of Iron...
Amen to that ... :-)
