This my friends, is astroturfing. Just look at all the coordinated signs and T-shirts. Busloads of government union employees gathered in the Illinois state capital to demand lawmakers increase the income tax by 33 percent. Weve told you for years the current rate of spending at the federal, state and local level was unsustainable.

Has something like this ever happened in US history? Government workers demanding that private citizens be taxed more in order to enrich the civil service?
It's the makings of a civil war.

How about a headline that reads: “Thousands of taxpayers demand fewer government workers.”

Public unions are EVIL. They need to be disbanded and made illegal. They are a monopoly inside a monopoly that only care on how much more they can squeeze the tax payer. They are THE major contributors to the democrat party in an unethical partnership that must stop before we end up like Greece.

Remember, if we fired these government employees we certainly would not need to raise the income tax.

Rush had some audio of these idiots, something like up to 15,000 bussed in union demonstrators clearing shouting “Raise my taxes!”.
Then there were the other audio clips of more shouting “Where’s my money, where’s my money!” Really unhinged sounding. Very clear illustration of the mentality we’re up against.
Gov’t skrools, ya gotta love ‘em. Apparently there were teachers unions represented also.

Why don’t they cut the union wages first!

“Remember, if we fired these government employees we certainly would not need to raise the income tax.”
What services do they provide we can’t live without? Possibly police protection but is the average citizen really protected by the police? Garbage collection can be easily contracted out to a private service. Water/sewer system can also be easily privatized. Schools can also be privatized. When it comes down to it most functions of state and local government can be eliminated or privatized. Time to get on with it.

This just shows the wide divide in this country and what we are up against.

I wish they’d have more of these demonstrations...nationwide.

This just shows the wide divide in this country and what we are up against. The Great Divide is unsustainable, in my opinion, and is going to come to a head at some point. More and more, it's looking like it's going to happen soon.
