How many of those 4M estimated will fall into the under $250k crowd who bought the no taxes line?

Well, according to the IRS, they have no way to enforce the fines other than to take your refund (which I find hard to believe by the way) so these 4 million would be wise to fiddle with their deductions so they owe money at the end of the year. No refund = No fine.

A lot of numbers were thrown around as this obomination was debated. I believe that one realisitic appraisal claimed 10 million American citizens were without health insurance. Apparently, we will now have a situation where about 6 million of those Americans will have health insurance — and it only cost us $1 trillion!

Nah, they’ll just add it to what you owe, and then six months later send you a bill with interest compounded in.

It’s still WAY cheaper than buying health insurance especially if you have pre-existing conditions. Considering that insurance companies will no longer be able deny coverage for pre-existing conditions, the loop hole seems pretty glaring. It’s cheaper to pay the fine and get the insurance when you need it.

They have no idea on any of the numbers right now. It’s about CONTROL...Like SS and Medicare. Be prepared for another “Madatory deduction” from your paycheck.

But if you have no refund coming back, what's to stop them from putting a lein on your home or any property you own? Remember, Zero, our Dear Leader, is the Prez now. The camel's nose is under the tent. Sure, it may be a simple, "Well, pay it when you can" now, but give a few years.

Soon we will be reading (planted) stories in Zero's propoganda arm . . I mean the press, about how some of the rich are getting away with not paying their "fair share" (heard that phrase before, have you?) and the gub'mint needs to do something about it; like add more teeth to their laws.

Why the rich would try to "get away" with not paying for health insurance will go unquestioned (by the media) and unanswered by the gub'mint.

and those mythical 10 million “Americans” are illegals..So in his single brain-cell, Obowmao’s “logic” is that the mass majority will have to be punished in order to accomodate these leeches.

Something was left out of the quote without an ellipsis. The following is from the original piece.

"Nearly 4 million Americans - the vast majority of them middle class - will have to pay the new penalty for not getting health insurance..."

And the middle class is already being hit hard by unemployment.
