NBC News reporter Kelly O'Donnell asked Darryl Postell, a black man at a tea party rally held Thursday in Washington: "There aren't a lot of African-Americans at these events. Have you ever felt... uncomfortable?" Postell replied, "No, no, these are my people, Americans."

O'Donnell's question wasn't the only one addressing race at tea parties. Politico asked one white tea party protester about how she could spot an "infiltrator" -- a liberal posing as a tea party protester -- and she said that more "racially-oriented signs" were a giveaway. "This movement is not about race. My husband and I are an interracial copuple. He's African American. We don't make this party about race, we make it about principles." Video below:

It didn't occur to me, by the way, to ask Richard if he felt uncomfortable. But maybe that's because he was right at home:

Golly, didn’t he know that ALL Tea Party Patriots are nothing but racist white people? He is lucky they didn’t lynch him on the spot! </sarc>
And they accuse tea partiers of being racist. They are the ones who aren’t color blind or they wouldn’t be asking that kind of question.
Sea plants have more brains than people at MSNBC. They have gone from being a joke to embarrassing.
Main stream media = RACISTS!
Kelly O’Donnell is essentially asking “Your skin is black. Why don’t you think like all the black people I know?”
The Press Corpse is no match for intelligent people like a TEA Partier.
Maybe his answer should have been: “I feel uncomfortable now about you because you asked that question”
He was too nice to her.
Media types wont learn their lesson till its thrown right back in their face.
sigh...
The Mainstream Media are usually a bunch of race baiters.
Or perhaps something like “not as uncomfortable as you being among freedom loving Americans you racist bitch!”
“Kelly ODonnell is essentially asking Your skin is black. Why dont you think like all the black people I know?
Or maybe
Your skin is black. Why dont you think like all the white people tell me that black people are supposed to think
Either way it’s indicative of deep racial prejudice.
My dear Negro, Do you realize you’ve stepped off the plantation?
Could be the TEA Party people didn’t realize that he was “black”.
Anyone not asking for liberal gifts is, of course, an American, and as we know from decades of history classes, being a plain-old American is a sin, making one retroactively guilty for oppression, genocide, etc/
Once one embraces his/her victimhood status, and admits only liberal governmental control can wash away that sin, he/she can be considered a normal person. Any American who actually stands up for liberty, especially if he has skin of a darker color than Nora O'Donnell's is, of course, a weirdo.
Probably was until the reporter showed up!
That line : the media as holy water : vampires.
Yes, she is definitely working with a preconceived idea of what black people are supposed to think. Prejudice, to pre-judge, is where she is coming from and his skin color is the basis for it. It is entirely accurate to say that Kelly O'Donnel is racially prejudiced.
It's kind of troubling that in the 21st century the MSM has so many people in it with such narrow-minded attitudes.
I have said to many people the only real Uncle Toms are the liberal blacks that have been on the Liberal Plantation for the last 100+ yrs. They have been destroyed by the Liberal establishment.
