President Weirdo (he is the sick one)
PajamasMedia ^ | 4-3-2010 | Roger L Simon

This is our country — all of us, Republican, Democrat and Independent. And I am now convinced of what I have long suspected — the United States has a president with a serious personality disorder.

Now I admit I am not a professional psychiatrist or psychologist, nor do I see myself even remotely as a paragon of mental health, but I have made a decent living for over thirty years as a fiction writer whose stock in trade is perforce studying people and this is one strange dude. He makes Richard Nixon seem almost normal.

I have on several occasions referred here to Obama as one having sociopathic tendencies.

Use your search engine to bring up the clinical descriptions of the common behavior of non-criminal sociopaths and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Obama is at the very least a borderline sociopath.

Perhaps he should be removed from 'command' ala The Caine Mutiny!

We're riding out hurricane force winds month after month with this lunatic, voodoo-zombie, marxist-muslim.

He's bedbug crazy.

Unfortunately, he's got the world's greatest insurance policy. No way his fellow inmates in Congress would take a chance on replacing the current mouthpiece in the White House with The National Joke.

I am not a professional psychiatrist

Charles Krauthammer (Fox contributor) is a psychiatrist and he has said on numerous occasions that Obama is a narcissist, and hinted at worse.

I don’t understand the comparisons to Nixon (Whittier College, Duke Law School, server honorably in the U.S. Navy).

Trying to watch the Final Four, Zero popped up playing an ex-NBA guy in HORSE which they played as POTUS. Obama said to the other player, “You didn’t want to beat your President.”

That’s how he refers to himself? In the third person by job title making his position of authority absolutely clear. Seems odd.

I predict that he’s eventually going to have a Captain Queeg moment (a la Humphrey Bogart in the Caine Mutiny). Narcissists don’t handle setbacks and failures very well. They will lash out at everyone and anyone.

Thecondont,

We knew Nixon’s background but BHO’s is anyone’s guess. He may have been a contender for all we know. But all things considered, I’ll pick Nixon.

From American Psychiatric Association:

301.81 Narcissistic Personality Disorder

A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

(1) has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

(2) is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

(3) believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)

(4) requires excessive admiration

(5) has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations

(6) is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends

(7) lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others

(8) is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her

(9) shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

From the article link:

No matter his ideology, this man is not fit to rule psychologically. Or, more properly, govern — but you know what I mean. He doesn’t have the temperament. He was elected with people knowing almost nothing about him. Despite that the facts are still masked, his history still obscure, we may now know too much, have seen too much. These things just leak out around the edges.

During the campaign, when every newsperson was referring to him as "cool", I was looking at him and the word I found myself thinking was "cold". And, usually, the word "calculating" goes along with that. I would talk to my hubby about that, and then one day we were watching t.v. and BO was on and he must of let the mask slip a little, because my husband turned to me and said, "Wow, I think I just saw what you have been talking about."

My confirmation came on election night, when he was in Chicago. He came on stage with Michelle and the two girls. They all waved for a bit, and then he sent them backstage while he continued to bask in the glow all by himself. This bothered me immensely. I have been watching politics for years, and I can never, ever remember a candidate sending his family off stage so that he could get all the adulation himself. It was a troubling sight.
