Then why did he make the “tipping over” motions with his hands, eh?

Still I think he was speaking metaphorically ... I mean nobody could be that dumb ... right? I read a history of NYC and people around the early 1900’s were afraid the city would sink because of so many tall buildings being built ...

Hello, Georgia. Are YOU going to let this idiot win another election?
Good grief. This guy should be on SNL.
Vote these O-Holes OUT. Man oh man.
Hey, Georgia voters, where does this intellectual lightning rod buy his crack? He looked stoned. Believe me, are there mushrooms growing wild in your state?
And these are the pricks that tell YOU what YOU owe everyone else.
What a joke.
Get off of your asses.

What a dope! What really happened is he said something so outrageous and stooopid that his staff had to scramble to spin it to ‘correction’ and they did a very poor job of that ... basically because when someone says something sooooo stoooopid there is no ‘correction’ available.

He meant every word and now that he was caught making an outrageous statement, is pretending he meant something different. I saw the video and he is kind of nutty.

just to interject some facts...
the topic of the hearing was the relocation of the 3rd Marine Division from Okinawa to Guam.
We are going to build a brand new Marine base from scratch on that little Island (adding about 15% to the total population). The cost of the new base is north of $10 Billion.

His point was clear enough to me. We’re moving and incredibly large force with their families to an island that already has a lot of military based there. His question was a reasonable one. Is there room on the island.
I knew he was speaking metaphorically, so I’m surprised people are making a big deal out of this.
Now, if you want to make a big deal out of the fact that he sounds like he’s drunk, go for it. Either he’s got some serious health issues, or he’s drunk.

I’m gonna have to go with Rep. Johnson on this. I don’t think that any sentient being could say something like that seriously, unless he’s really ill, in which case there would be other manifestations.
We should save the ridicule for the supid things they say and truly believe, which are many.

There is no way anyone who sees the video will believe this. He would have been better off blaming his reported illness and medication.

From his website - "he is a graduate of the District of Columbia Public Schools, Clark College in Atlanta and the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University." Wow. This guy has college degrees!... Remind me to avoid recommending "Clark College" or "Texas Southern University," to friends and relatives I care about. A jaw-dropping video. Just...amazing.
