Had Sarah Palin not been on the national scene right now, things would be SO MUCH WORSE! Obamacare and Cap & Tax would have passed months ago without her contributions to public discourse. (Death Panels anyone? Or her Washington Post editorial on Climategate?)
Obamacare not only would have passed sooner, but it would have come without any of the "compromises."
Beginning with her endorsement of Doug Hoffman in the NY-23, we take for granted how much her name lends legitimacy to the Tea Party movement and to ALL the *contested* primaries going on in the country, INCLUDING the one in Arizona!
The fact is: J.D. Hayworth himself has benefitted from the momentum largely initiated by Sarah Palin.
Palin was just who we needed at just the right time. By picking her and introducing her to the world stage, John McCain has done more for this country and more for conservatism than any other Republican serving in office right now--and that includes Bachmann, Ryan, Pence, and Demint, etc...
PALIN has outfought them all on our behalf and nobody has communicated our message as effectively to the public as she has. She has truly made a difference not just politically, but culturally as well. I think we take for granted how crucial her decision to resign and bring the fight to the national media has been. She acts as our representative on the Left's primary turf.
In many ways, Obama's presidency has been a blessing in disguise both for this country and for conservatism as a whole. The times we're in allow for a true patriot like Palin to shine even more. Quite frankly, the media fanaticism surrounding Palin has been a blessing in disguise too. People pay attention to everything she says!
Other thoughts:
I certainly am glad Mr. Mitt Flip Flop Romneycare is not our president and neither is Governor Huckabee. And guess what? I'm glad that next time, should Palin run, she's running for the #1 spot and not #2.
We can speculate all we want about the inner politics of the McCain/Palin campaign, but the fact is, without John McCain's brave and BOLD decision to pick her as his runningmate, we would have no Sarahcuda fighting the Communists in power today!
Which leads to my final point:
I find it ridiculous that we have a bonafide communist serving in the White House and some see it more fit to sneer and jeer at Vietnam War Veteran. Even if veterans such as John McCain are not entitled to our votes, they are certainly entitled to our thanks, our salute, and our RESPECT. He has literally put his life on the line in the service of this country and has the scars to prove it. Can't say that about most of his fellow Republicans serving in Congress, even the most "conservative" ones.
At a time when we are fighting terrorists and the security of our country is at the brink, at a time when our nation's leaders want to fund abortion mills, why are we villainizing one of the most crucial defenders of our military to have served in office and someone with a 100% Pro-Life record?! Mind boggling. No, his record is not perfect, but let's give him credit where it's due.
So again, I am not saying people have to like or vote for McCain--I don't know that I would either, (though I personally am not too impressed with J.D. Hayworth but that's just me.) But, we can at least appreciate his primary political contribution: introducing the world to Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska, "For such a time as this."
Another Palin-McCain post party. So many in so little time.
This one has the “McCain is a hero” theme. Enjoy the party and please dont break anything :)
Loyalty and gratitude are sorely lacking these days. I do not agree with her endorsement of McCain, but respect her reasons for doing so (including taking a “Pubs in disarray” meme away from the RATs).
What are you trying to say, jla?
I don’t think being critical of Sarah’s support of McCain at this level quite rises to “Anti-Palin Psychosis”
Agreed, that’s why I don’t think he deserves a Thank You (which is the title of this post).
The Dems and Liberal media would love it if Palin didn’t support McLame - GOP in disarray, the fringe of the party and “violent” Tea Party in control of the GOP, etc.
Like I said, she should give a speech or two and move on - voters will decide.
Hard choices these days.. if you dont have the stones for it then RIOT.. but dont just bitch..
Voting may not be the best answer but it is an answer..
Until something better comes along..
Luke Skywalker’s father is Darth Vader.
Darth Vader is evil.
I was ok with her tepid support of him but I don't enjoy seeing her out in full support of him...
others may have a different take
I support her strongly....it's just hard to watch....I really can;t stand Mccain
I only supported him for her and against Obama ....
He could end up being what gets amnesty passed and I guarantee you with his ego that he won't mind pushing on her
like I said earlier...shame she wasn't brought to center stage by Jim DeMint or Sessions or someone legit
I do know that she had huge huge support at the Tea Party here...but is she their candidate?
maybe defacto so far
she's certainly mine
I bet! This place will be boring after this past few days LOL
Something else will come up sooner or later to liven things up.
There’s one sure fire way to silence “anti-Palin” people.
If Palin would stay true to principals, they would have nothing to use.
Really simple.
I doubt it.
John McCain is a louse. A vile person who threatens this nation's future. Who gives a crap about his service? That was 40 years ago. He wants to pass Soviet-style industrial policies (Cap n Tax) and wants to destroy by allowing to demographically annex about 9% of the U.S. (assuming 26 million illegals). That is TREASON!
I wont beat around the bush. The man is a scumbag and needs to go. I have NO problem with Sarah Palin helping him. It is loyalty and shows her character. But he will lose and J.D. Hayworth will be the next senator from AZ.
“she ACCEPTED his offer to run with him in 2008, she could have said no, she did not have a gun put to her head, she said it was an honor to run with him, so was she a RINO then, where was the outrage then when she ran with him, is there really any difference between then and now”
Thank you for putting an end to this silliness. There are no legitimate arguments against Palin for supporting McCain.
Maybe I’ll do a search to find exactly who has been consistent on this. It can be a good way to expose deep-cover trolls.
The troll police. Get a life. Some people are all for Palin, even though she hasn’t said she is running, some are not.
Just the way it is, or do they have to meet your criteria as to their level of worship?
Remember the thanks? Specter jumped parties. Bush involvement in elections backing RINO's RUINED many Conservatives chances and Re-Elected RINO's.... UNDERSTAND NOW? Palin is making a huge mistake.
That’s why I say they have “phony outrage” because if they didn’t have outrage then, then they should not have outrage now, because she was even more vocal about her support during the campaign, she said it was an honor and a privilege to run with him..so were the same people who are trashing her now trash her then..its BS outrage, its people who never ever liked her to begin with, so they come up with this “Oh I am so upset about her supporting him, I no longer support her” please, they never liked her to begin with. Same crap you see on her facebook page, you see Dems sign up, become her “friend” then say they are Republicans who are angry at her supporting McCain
Same thing with the whole “She’s for amnesty” BS, really, she said that, when, last night, because she did NOT..the word amnesty, card check, path to citizenship, those words NEVER came out of her mouth, all she said was that she agreed with McCain about securing the border, DUH, who doesn’t want the border secure..but some went nuts and added more words to her mouth which she never said, just to promote their own agenda
So you kind of don’t want me to do that search?
Maybe I’ll find out who’s been consistent and who hasn’t?
These kinds of searches usually bring up very interesting information.
