When I was young, just got out of college, I had to buy auto insurance. I had a beat-up old car. And I won't name the name of the insurance company, but there was a company -- let's call it Acme Insurance in Illinois. And I was paying my premiums every month. After about six months I got rear-ended and I called up Acme and said, I'd like to see if I can get my car repaired, and they laughed at me over the phone because really this was set up not to actually provide insurance; what it was set up was to meet the legal requirements. But it really wasn't serious insurance.

That is exactly what I said the day he said that. For a lawyer not to know the difference between liabilty and full coverage insurance makes me question greatly just how bright he really is. Perhaps there is a good reason why his records are locked. Wouldn’t want anyone to see that 1.85 GPA!

Either Obama fabricated the story or Obama is a dolt. Obama may have elected to only carry liability insurance and save the collision premium to finance his college partying but all is not lost. The driver who hits the rear end of another automobile is nearly always at fault. Obama could have placed his claim against the other guy’s liability insurance. Then again maybe Obama was driving in reverse and hit the other guy’s front end! Does Obama really have a law degree?
How young was he when he had to get this mandatory insurance in Illinois? Someone needs to look up the first year that liability insurance was required — I don’t think it was required until the early- mid-90s in IL (that I remember)... We might be able to call his bluff if he made this particular anecdote up.
I purposely have a cheap “extra” car for backup, beating around the city in tight parking, etc. I keep the very minimum insurance coverage on it because if anything happens it wouldn’t be worth fixing or have much total value. It is my choice and I wouldn’t expect the insurance company to give me a new car. But the budding communist expected some evil corporation to give him something he didn’t pay for.

A true hammerhead if I ever saw one. What makes this all so entertaining is his utter lack of self awareness, which guarantees that the obamaisms are gonna keep on coming; a boxed set of laffs by the end of his term.
Bush, every time he opened his mouth sounded like an idiot. However, behind the bumbling public speaking persona was a person who had intellectual intelligence as well as a high eq, emotional intelligence. Barry, everytime he opens his mouth, as long as the teleprompter is functioning properly, sounds like a freakin genius. But under that smooth facade is a pure moron with a low iq, low eq and no real life experience.
Whoa....there. I hotly contest that. Did you ever listen to him? All the way through a speech? Don't just parrot what you may hear on CNN, or MSNBC. I heard Bush speak in person numerous times and found him to be articulate, intelligent, funny, kind -- I could go on and on, but hopefully you get the picture.
As for Obama, yes he is an idiot.
Not talking about content. Purely stylistically. There was more content in one of his speeches than in all of Barrys campaign drivel. But the fact remains that Bush was an awful public speaker with a few exceptions, like his post 9-11 speech.
