"It's not a perfect bill," Brown said after the vote. "I was comfortable with that vote... It is the first step in creating jobs, not only for the people of Massachusetts but for the people of the country.

Really?! What was your first clue, Senator?

Does this mean the honeymoon’s over?
I want my contributions returned !!!
SET THEIR LOCAL AND DC LINES ON FIRE!
Sen. Scot Brown's number is 202-224-5443
Capitol Hill switchboard is 202-224-3121
Lots of local demwit phone numbers on this thread.
If you want another hard core Leftwingtard Democrat Senator in the job demanding Conservative perfection out of Republicans in that state is the way it will happen.
What this means, though, is that Senator Brown cannot be allowed to participate in Republican politics in any role that involves ideology or methods.
I was afraid of this when he was elected and the next day some people were talking about Presidential aspirations!
yes, yes, but, but, but,,,,at least the DEMOCRAT didn’t win/ s
Exactly HOW can he block healthcare when they can use reconciliation?
I’m not sure what everyone expected from him. He’s from Massachussetts. Your not getting a conservative out of that state. He’s going to make us mad some times. Okay, probably most of the time. That said, I’m happy to have Scott Brown over Coakley any day.
Agreed. Next time I won’t be too quick to call a politician a hero.
I sent him a contribution to get him elected senator. Might be the last dollar I send him.
Well, he’s catching hell on Facebook right now.
Love that song!
“Brown for POTUS NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Everytime I see this it is ROFLMAO time.”
It sure didn’t make me laugh. I thought it disturbing that people were making him into what he is not. I am glad he won over Coakley. At least he will vote with Republicans on some issues.
Right. Brown was not running against Ronald Reagan or Thomas Jefferson. He was running against Marsha Coakley.
You're right--Scott Brown can't block healthcare reform that is passed through reconciliation. But it is still a victory for Republicans that the disgraceful and politically suicidal tactic of reconciliation is the only way for the Democrats to cram this through.
It is the first step in creating jobs
No Senator Brown. The first step would be to cut the Federal budget to the bare bones.
Heckuva job brownie
Hey, nobody expected him to be a “Reagan Conservative.” I didn’t. But I didn’t expect him to vote for the first Dem bill that came his way. I don’t think that’s asking much of someone who was happy to ride on the wings of the Tea Party Movement while merrily taking their money.
