If she wants it then she'll have to fight her way past people who want the presidency as bad as she does and who will rip her to shreds in order to get it. And that's just the primaries.

She knows that, and has said that she likes the knock-down drag-out of primaries because the issues are laid out there for everyone to see, and folks have all the information on which to make their decision.

We have no idea what will happen over the next two years. Sarah Palin may crash and burn, or she may rise and bring tens of millions along with her. I wouldn’t encourage making any definitive statements either way, this far out.

Yep, America wants a Jr HS cheerleader in the WH.

You mean like GWB? He was a cheerleader.

Palin never was.

It is my understanding, she won't have to shoulder PERSONALLY, the economic burden of defending herself, if she's President, the way she had to do as Governor of AK. MAJOR difference.

It wasn't the personal attacks, or those attacks on her family, that drove her resignation. As she's stated, she's a big girl and can handle the personal attacks. She was annoyed with the attacks on her family, because it was clear that the MSM wasn't saying anything about the Obama kids, because they considered them off-limits, but didn't afford her family that same courtesy.

It was the attempt at economic ruin for her family, and for the families of her staff members that drove her to resign. It was clear that the frivilous charges would not stop as long as she was in office, and she had noted that they didn't begin until AFTER she was picked to be McCain's running mate. She'd already been in office a year and a half, with NO charges filed against her before being chosen as Veep. Candidate.

When most folks understand the background behind what was going on in AK, they begin to understand, and agree with Sarah's decision.

Well, as someone who seems to have liberal leanings and is hostile to common-sense women, I have no doubt that you find the value of motherhood a laugh.

Gut feeling, and gut feeling only, tells me that Sarah Palin has as much chance of getting the nomination as a snow ball in hell.

I remember the same thing having been said about Jimmah Carter, when he ran for the Presidency in 1976.

If I had to guess from the current crop, Haley Barbour would probably come out on top -- he's got a lot of political connections, serious experience at many different levels of government, and can point to his post-Katrina record to show his leadership abilities.

I don't believe Haley is interested, and I'm pretty sure his wife CERTAINLY isn't.

By 2012, we may be in such bad shape that Americans will reject the surface stuff of Obama and elect a statesman who doesn’t say ‘hope and change’ -—or winks and drops g’s.

I prefer someone who is strong on the issues of smaller government, lower taxes and reduced spending, even if he or she is not a smooth talker.

I don’t think she exhibits a statesman-like aura that say, a Ronald Reagan had.

Interesting statement, because the libs and the MSM droned on constantly about Reagan's 'folksy' manner, and how inappropriate that was for a potential President.

If you think Reagan was pro life at age 50, document it.

I know Palin is!

Surrogates like playgirl models and cartoonists? Attacking her kids? What a brilliant political path the Democrats have in their future.

They libs will pay for that and I want to remind you freepers with the same tired out rants, Sarah is on GOD'S side and that will be the difference. If she runs!!

You mean like she did to become governor of Alaska?

No, it won't be anything like that.

They have already tried that. Mitt Romney couldn’t rip a spinach salad to shreds.

You haven't seen anything yet.

Who is your candidate? You can’t beat somebody with nobody.

Haven't decided yet.

No, things lame cartoon shows that set her off. Don't think her opponents from both parties didn't notice that and file it away for future reference.

President Reagan served as California’s governor from 1967-1975, a state with a huge economy and work force (at the time). He cut his teeth in national politics with two bids for the White House in ‘68 and ‘76, prior to winning the nomination in ‘80.

I can take ‘folksy’ with credentials. She QUIT her job, not just any job, but a public office that individuals invested time and money to elect her. Sorry, I just can’t get past that.

Are you kidding? she has taken every shot they have and come back stronger.

What are you guys at Romney Central planning? Hitting her with wet noodles? I am sure she is terrified at the thought of facing a “real” man like Mitt.
