Internet chatter had led to speculation that it might be an urban myth -- nothing more than clever digital trickery spreading via the Web.
But our friend Bob Collins at Minnesota Public Radio assures us he's seen it with his own eyes:
There is a billboard along I-35 near Wyoming, Minn., with a huge photo of former president George W. Bush and this question: "Miss Me Yet?"
Now, the push is on to find out who paid to have it put up.

Bush's first two rounds of tax cuts did absolutely nothing because they were centered around tax rebates, which in W's words were intended to "put money in the pockets of consumers." It wasn't until the tax cuts of 2003 that the economy started to recover. Those tax cuts were largely written by Republicans in Congress and included a capital gains tax cut that W vehemently opposed.
Even so, the resulting expansion was based on government spending, a real estate bubble, and a commodities bubble. In other words, all unsustainable smoke and mirrors. The stock market actually went down during his eight years in office, even though it went through a significant correction before he took office. W was one of the worst economic presidents we've ever had, and below average over all. He opened the door for the most liberal Senator to become president based on nothing more than an empty promise of "change."
I don't miss Bush. I'll never miss him. He wrecked the country and the GOP. The Bush Dynasty is every bit as destructive as the Kennedy Dynasty. No more Bushes. No more Kennedys.

I regret even commenting about Bush yesterday.
It’s really like stirring up an open sesspool - nothing good can be accomplished by discussing that administration.

That 14,000 points was smoke and mirrors just like I said. W's government spending bubble, housing bubble, and commodities bubble couldn't be sustained. The market was lower the day he left office than the day he took office.
America has been the world's technology leader for decades and a main driver of our economy. What kind of relationship did W have with the technology sector?

If you noticed the large post, there was no such thing as a government spending bubble. Government spending has been on an upward trend because of entitlements, regardless of who was in control. Bush's discretionary spending increase averaged about 3%. That's with the DHS forced on him by congress.
The housing and commodities bubbles were beyond his control...you should be well aware that he tried to rein in Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and was stopped by the Democrats...and before you start whining about him promoting home ownership, that had always been a conservative hallmark.

Bush was the most business friendly President since Reagan. That applied across the board.

He stood up for America and Americans on a daily basis, unlike the America Apologizer we currently have. Just on the time he spent defending our military should shame you for such a comment......how about coming up with one quote where he "praised" illegals?
Why don't you just admit you hate him because he wouldn't do what you wanted on immigration.....even though he governed TX for eight years and campaigned then served eight years on the same immigration policy he always had.

Pres Bush vetoed a $77.5-billion tax bill Mar 20, 1992, that would have given a tax cut to the middle class. The cut would have been financed by raising taxes for the wealthy. Bush used the veto to begin an election-year rhetorical attack on Congress.
