I have learned from my secret, and usually reliable, sources that the nefarious Rahm Emanuel has devised a sinister contingency plan to save the Democrat majority in both houses of Congress. The plan is named “Operation Albatross.” If the economy has not significantly improved within 30 days of the upcoming elections, and the polls continue to foreshadow massive loss of seats by the Democrats, President Obama plans to switch parties and become a Republican. It is thought that the high negative ratings Obama brings to the table will then work to insure a massive Republican defeat.
Part of this plot has already been put into action. Obama’s statement that “he is not an idealogue” was floated at the recent GOP retreat and was received by the media with little attention . Similarly, Obama has come forth with a budget “freeze” for many federal departments and programs, a typically Republican approach. Obama plans to make more "feints" to the center right politically. If necessary, Emanuel plans to have Obama actively campaign and endorse Republican candidates, such an endorsement sure to spell certain defeat for the candidates.
As detailed by my source, Emanuel revealed the plan at a senior Democrat strategy meeting in January following the unexpected election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts. Quoting now from my source, “Rahm told us this was the only way to keep the Republicans from recapturing a majority in the senate. He said as a practical matter, there would be little impact on the actual day to day running of the government. The President would be under no legal requirement to change the members of the cabinet, or make any other changes. Joe Biden would continue to vote as a Democrat should any deadlocks develop in the Senate.”
Emanuel went on to explain that the GOP could not make any legal objection to the change of party affiliation. When asked about individual Republican candidates refusing to permit Obama to campaign on their behalf, he reportedly said, “ Who gives a damn what they want! We have Air Force One and the President can go anywhere he damn well wants. F*ck ‘em! We'll make 'em an offer they can't refuse. It’s time to go to the mattresses! We’ll show up on their back steps and they’ll get an endorsement whether they want it or not! We’ll give ‘em the old cement overcoat treatment. Obama will be the cement Albatross we’ll hang around their necks!”
It is thought that after the election, the GOP will retaliate against Obama for the massive losses and provide the necessary rationale for a switch back to the Democrat party.

Obama has the political skill and instincts of a rutting bull. Clinton was and is a political genius, Obama little more than a fabrication of the overheated imaginings and hopes of the media.

I don’t think you are taking this seriously. Think about it. Obama has already indicated he is prepared to be a one term President. he has a simple choice. He can either take down the Democrats or he can take down the Republicans. Oh that Rahm is a devious and cunning devil!

Satire? Can you think of any other way for Obama NOT to sink the Democrats? If Operation Albatross doesn’t happen now, its only because the beans have been spilled.

Please God Don’t Let It Happen! Obama will switch parties - to the Communist Party of America. Be Damned if he would join the Republican Party
Come on Parsy, think about this.
First, Obama is the face of the Dems, there is no way he would be taken seriously by anyone on our side of the aisle as having had some sort of conservative epiphany.
Switching to the GOP would also lose him what is left of his shrinking base. He has already lost independents not because he is personally unpopular (though I can’t figure out why some still like him) but because of his political positions and decisions. He can’t, even by switching parties, divorce himself from his platform. The few Pub’s that still support him, all 10 of them, would drop off. Any switch to the right would ONLY benefit us, not the Dems.
Any GOP candidate that Obama would stump for would make more “converts” by disavowing ANY endorsement by Obama or his ilk. In today’s political climate Obama is the death-knell for those in his own party - why would anyone think he would be accepted into our side or be a benefit to any GOP candidate?
This would make a great novel and a fantastic Hollywood movie but in real life simply doesn’t pass any smell test. Sorry.
